  1. I have finally found the solution: uninstalling Aorus Engine software. Thanks for the tips!
  2. Will try As stated above: I want to keep my warranty
  3. Hi, Last Saturday all of a sudden, my screens went black and fans were skyrocketing for the first time in 10 months. I've never encountered any problem before. I can use my computer fine, but whenever I want to game, my screens will go black in about 30 seconds till 5 minutes, after which I can't do anything anymore. This is frustrating, so I started to explore what could be the problem. I did the following: - My computer still operates though, so trying to read dump is impossible. - Windows event viewer also does not tell me anything useful. - The PCI-e slot where my graphics card sits in is reinforced with steel, so therefore it could not be bent (I am also using a graphics card sag bracket). - I have uninstalled my drivers using DDU in safe mode, no effect - When watching the data in HWMonitor, I see that it is always on 1.050 volts and about 60 degrees, no problems there - I have not overclocked it or anything like that - The motherboard is an Asrock Taichi Z370, which has a very solid power delivery. The PSU is an RM650x, so no cheap PSU or whatsoever. I have not had this problem in over 10 months, and none of the solutions worked. I would not like to open up my graphics card to replace the thermal paste, as it will void my warranty. What more can I do? PS: The card is a Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 (https://bit.ly/2NHGWr6)
  4. Yeah I mean Fiber > Router > Switch > Bridge AND PC, sorry that it was so unclear
  5. It was first meant as a way to have a WiFi network upstairs, but I didn't want the standard things like DHCP, etc. Because I did not have a switch, I opted in to connect my pc to that router
  6. The router is a TP-Link WDR 4300 I would like to connect the PC to the switch, so the data will not go to the bridged router but will go straight to my PC through the switch
  7. Hi, Whenever I would like to download a huge file, let's say a game or even Netflix, my bridget router will crash after a while. Would it help if I buy a switch, and then connect my PC and bridged router to the switch instead of my pc directly to the bridged router? So Fiber > Router > Switch > Bridge AND PC? My network at the moment
  8. I currently narrowed it down to the following: Asus Z370 Maximus X Hero ASRock Z370 Taichi They both have the same price Which one is the best?
  9. I do, what motherboard would you suggest
  10. Hi, I would like to build a new computer with the following specs: CPU - I7 8700K (overclock to 4.8 GHz) GPU - GTX 1080 11Gbps Aorus RAM - 16GB Trident Z RGB PSU - RM650x PSU COOLER - NZXT Kraken X62 SSD - 2 SATA drives HDD - 2 SATA drives CASE - BeQuiet Dark Base 700 I was wondering what motherboard I should choose. I first decided to choose the ASRock Z370 Gaming K6, but I noticed that the ASRock Z370 Taichi is better for a slight price increase. I, however, wonder if there are better / more recommendable motherboards out there. I'd like to have USB-C, at least five USB 3.0 or higher (gen1/2), decent amount of power phases for overclocking. Does anyone know a recommendable one? (Asus currently has a cashback deal) I noticed that the Asus Maximus X Hero is the same price as the Taichi
  11. I've had experience with power supplies that did not have enough wattage so I'd rather take some overhead in case of any problems. I've had both active and semi-passive cooling, but I prefer the semi-passive cooling due to the less wear of the fan and the more silent operation.
  12. I indeed would like it to be fully modular. I will try and a look at the BitFenix! I would like some overhead and also the possibility to upgrade safely in the near future. Would like semi passive cooling
  13. Well, I started on a rather big list based on reviews and tests that I saw on national sites (Netherlands) and other sites like Amazon, forums, etc. After some browsing, I found out that I could scratch some off my list. Original list: Corsair HX750i (too expensive (€60 more than RM650x)Corsair HX850i (too much watt)Corsair RM650x Corsair RM850x (too much watt)EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650 (not the most ideal PSU)EVGA SuperNOVA G2 850 (too much watt)EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750 (braided cables, would be hard for cable management and 2 HDD's / 2 SSD's)Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 750Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum 650 / 750 / 850 (too expensive for my needs) After some concluding, I got the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 750W and the RM650x, though after your question I'm doubting about the G3 (~€25 more expensive)
  14. Whoops, yes I meant that. Great! Both are the same price, so I can't take that into consideration By reading this I am getting the idea that I should avoid it due to poor soldering. Even though there is a warranty, I would not like to risk my components. Will I be better off buying a RM650x or does it have the same problem?
