  1. I had wondered that for Intel integrated graphics based on their webpage. (See the graphics specifications) http://ark.intel.com/products/80817/Intel-Core-i5-4460-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz I will definitely keeps this in mind! Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the response, I will take this into consideration. I might wait to get a graphics card until Pascal, but I need a computer update sooner than that for general computing uses.
  3. No, the monitor is being purchased seperately. I guess I did not make that clear enough.
  4. Yes, I can throw an HDD at it at a later date. I actually have a couple of old HDDs, that I could throw in temp. Thank you for the response! I really appreciate it!
  5. Yes, that is exactly the point! Thank you for summarizing this in a way that I could not clearly do.
  6. Please see the bolded section of the original post.
  7. I said that I would like to drive a 4k monitor to start with. Not for gaming, just general usage. I would like to add one or more graphics cards down the road for gaming
  8. Star Wars . That is pretty much all for now.
  9. Alright, so I would like some help creating a rig to drive a 4k monitor. I am getting ready to purchase a 4k monitor and I would like a PC to be able to run it well. I will primarily use this for simple tasks like media consumption, excel work, web browsing, etc. I would like the ability to be able to expand this in the near future to play a few games at 4k (I am really looking forward to Need for Speed coming out & by near future I mean after Christmas when I can afford a nice graphics card). The expandablity factor is why I am planing on building my own PC and not purchasing a pre-built. My thoughts/limitations on the hardware itself include: I am completely open to AMD or Intel based. I would like to do the initial build for under $600 if possible. I would like a mini-itx or micro-atx form for a smaller footprint. I would like a case with a window so I can see the components. I would like an SSD for faster boot times and application response. I already have peripherals including a keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc. I plan on running Windows 10. I live in the USA. Would someone be able to help me come up with a simple rig that would suit my needs/desires? If you have any other questions, let me know. Thanks!

  11. Am I reading this price correctly?!? How did you score that deal?
  12. I don't know if this is the correct place for this question or not but here it is, what hardware specs are best to optimize Microsoft Excel 2010 or newer? i.e. more processor cores? higher clock speed? more ram? etc I was running a massive Excel sheet on one of the University computers today and the program really started to slow down. I made some changes to the document to simplify it, but it still was running slow. I was curious what part of the hardware was creating the bottleneck. Thanks.
