    Resolved! Contacted Sapphire tech, they said it would do the job with 8 pins + 6 pins from molex. Did it and it run well. Tweked a bit the GPU tp reduce power for 10%. Result: runing R6 in 1440 ultra at over 90 fps whit a power comsumtion of 145 watts, lots of room for the rest of my system (430 w PSU). I know it's not the best solution, but I still now have a 175 CAN$ pc that run game ar 1440 ultra!

    Would a molex connector with a 6 pins adaptor + the normal 8 pins pcie connector be okay to run it?

    Hi, I'm building a budget PC whit parts of my brother old PC (MB, RAM, i7 4770). I fund a free case at a shop, bought a corsair CX430 SPU for 35$. And finaly today, I bought a used sapphire rx 580 nitro+ SE for 140$. First, I know the PSU is underpower. I planned to limit the power draw of the GPU to make sure I don't break anything. But the thing is, I din't know that this GPU has a 8+6 pins connector. So I'm wondering if its possible to use the GPU with only a 8 pins connecter? (since most 580 use 8 pins) I don't plan to OC it or push it at is max until I swap the PSU. Thanks for your advise.

    I read that it's riscky to use freeDOS because it has more chance of craching and that we should use MS-DOS. Is it true? Is it safe to use FreeDOS?

    Thx, I never used DOS befor, so it is exacly what I need. The only thing is that I can't even make a bootable USB drive using MS-DOS.... dont know why, the option does not show up in Rufus, Any help? Thx

    Hi guys, Wile flashing one of my GPU, I used the wronf file, now I can't even run my PC wile it is connected because windows wont boot. Do you ksnow any easy way to reflash it? Or can anyone can help me to flash it using a DOS boot usb drive? Note: I run Ryzen 1500x, so no integrated GPU, I have 3 RX 580 and one that I need to reflash. Thx for your help!

    Hi guys, Not sure yet, but I think I might have made a mistake wile flashing one of my GPU. I tryed a modded bios, and it was getting me errors, so I wanted to flash the stock bios back, what I did, and when I restarted my PC, it would not boot. So, if It's realy a bios issue, is it fixable? Do you see anything else that could cause that? I have 3 GPU. One that is right on my MB (PCIEx16), and two outside of my case wired with riser. When I unplug the two outside my case I can boot my PC. I still have to try to unplug one at the time to see if it's realy one of my card that cause that... Thx for your help!

    There it is! Stable @ 30 mh/s (when I shut down one of my monitor it's 100% over 30), cold, low power, no error. Does it look good? :) @cj09beira @FlatBrokeRacing I'll definitely will buy at an other card! Thx again!

    I'm right now testing my setting with HWinfo to know if there is memory errors. I'm getting 30+ mh/s at just a bit over 100 watts (card is in my daily use PC and I'm using it wile mining). With the new mod it stay cold (around 55 c, fan speed at 25% so not much noise). I'll share some screenshots after a bit more testing. Thx agin to you @FlatBrokeRacing and @cj09beira!!!!!

    Hey! I feel a bit stupid... but I found it! Work as good as the blockchain driver, and even a bit better, but I'm still under 23 mh/s. I think I'm gonna try to mod the bios... any know the timing for a MSI 580 gaming x 8g? Thx!
