  1. my ram is the CMH32GX4M4E3200C16W. Looks like it doesn't show up on the search bar... might have to take it to microcenter or something to double check and diagnose the problem
  2. Idle my cpu is around 29-33c and gpu is in the 40c range. In game for more cpu intensive ones my cpu ranges around 45-55c and gpu is 60-70c so nothing too alarming there. Here's my 3dmark results with temps and everything if it helps: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/78462528 Also can you let me know where you found the QVL list for your motherboard? Mine is the Asus Strix Z690-A but I can't seem to find it
  3. do you know where I can find the QVL list? I've tried looking on the Asus website but so far nothing
  4. hmm I'll definitely look into my ram. Although I do doubt the monitor is the problem since it can't force my computer to restart during a game right?
  5. is there any way I can test to see which part that's causing it to fail? I've downloaded all the latest drivers and everything. This only happens when I play a game though. Average daily tasks run fine. I did run a gpu benchmark on 3D Mark last night and everything seemed fine (idk if that means anything).
  6. I built my new pc around the start of June and never had any problems until the last two weeks. Every game I would play would crash after 20-30 minutes of playing. Sometimes it would close the program and sometimes it would just restart the whole computer. I haven't overclocked any component of my pc yet but I did find out that I wasn't supposed to run my 3070ti off of one split daisy chain (connected to an 850w power supply) and fixed it immediately with 2 daisy chain 8 pin pcie daisy chain connectors. However, the problem is still there and my games would either freeze for a split second and crash or turn red black and blue and restart my whole computer. Does anyone know what's going on? Please help These are my specs: 12900k, 32gb DDR4 3200 C16, Asus Strix Z690-A, Gigabyte 3070ti vision oc, Corsair rm850 psu
  7. I'm using the usb drive that came with my windows 10 bundle a few years back for my first pc build and figured it might work again here. Is that the problem? Someone also said to use rufus (not really sure what that does exactly)
  8. I'm trying to do a clean windows install on my new pc but every time I insert my windows usb drive, it'll display the typical asus rog logo ("DEL to enter UEFI setting") and then shows a black screen and I can't enter bios the entire time. I tried setting the "OS Type" to "Other OS" under "Boot/Secure Boot" but the same thing happens. If I set "OS Type" to Windows UEFI, booting up will display the "Secure Boot Violation" screen and I'll have to do a force shut off. I also heard somewhere that someone had success by enabling CSM but when I do that, the monitor won't turn on. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I just want to get windows installed and working.
  9. Sorry I'm a bit new to this stuff so I need help. I'm booting up my pc for the first time and I'm trying to get windows installed but I can't seem to make selections for boot priorities. I'm using the Asus Strix z690-A and a Samsung 980 nvme ssd as my main and only storage device. When I access Boot > Boot Option Priorities there's no drop down despite despite the ssd showing up in Advanced > Advanced/NVMe controller and Drive information. Does anyone know what's wrong?
  10. I tried doing it flat but it seems like it's hitting something in the case. I don't think it's hitting the board but it is a really small gap between the board and the case
  11. Might be just a dumb error on my part but I can't figure out what's happening. I tried sliding my gpu into the pcie slot but before the gpu can reach it, the left side of the gpu's pcie mounting bracket seems to be hitting something. I tried taking out all of the expansion slots but the same thing keeps happening. It's feeling like the bottom where the two metal prongs of the gpu are snagging on something. I'm not sure if the picture helps but this is what's happening.
  12. does it prioritize certain devices since my iPad has more consistent download speeds than my macbook?
  13. It's kind of alarming to see how my internet speed would fluctuate that much. Sometimes my macbook is so slow it can't even load a video at 240p.
  14. My Macbook pro 16" is showing completely different download speeds vs my iPad. The laptop is relatively new and the only programs I have installed are spotify and chrome. I ran my tests on https://www.speedtest.net/ with the same server on both devices. On my iPad, the download speed is 79.48 mbps vs 59.65 mbps on my macbook. Sometimes the download speed on my macbook pro has reached 2 mbps and fluctuates tremendously. Is there a specific reason for this?
  15. Lol yea your suspicion was right it was Spotify activating it for some reason. Currently it says that Spotify has the biggest energy impact out of all of them which is pretty interesting.
