  1. Okay, but my primary question still stands.
  2. With the plans to switch Edge to Chromium (which might already be implemented in 1903, I can't remember), yet the document reader support (the only thing I use Edge for) isn't quite reimplemented yet, I was wondering how difficult it would be to back up the 1803 version and run it separately. What would this entail? Which folders and files (presumably from C:\Windows\SystemApps ) would I need to back up? Which .exe executable would I launch?
  3. Bleh, more of that gibi-giga nonsense. How do I make it use the base two definition instead? I don't have any reason to list it using the base ten definition if computers use binary anyway. (Not to mention, powers of 2 are easier for me to remember anyway)
  4. I would understand if Ubuntu reported less than the 128 GB I assigned to the .vdi in VirtualBox, but not more. Not too familiar with Linux. I put those commands in Terminal, but I don't know what to look for.
  5. I only asked for 128 GB space in VirtualBox, but Ubuntu is reading it as 134.7 GB.
  6. Thank you for the suggestions. I don't really have any preconceived brand preferences, so as long as it's a company I've heard of, and it works well, it should work for me. USD. Sorry, I usually specify this. Usually I would also recommend the 5000 series for under $1000 but the 7000 series is having a sale where some similarly speced models to the 5000 series are cheaper. My only concern with these would be they seem to only have SSDs (EDIT: At least according to Dell's website. Best Buy claims it has a dual-drive system). I'm also going to using it for work, so a large 1TB HDD would be highly beneficial, even if it were naturally slower than an SSD. Thank you for all your help!
  7. I need a laptop for work (not provided), and my current computer is severely outdated (and slow). They provided recommended specs (see attachment), but I'm concerned that a computer with those minimums would be barely enough for 4 years of work and not much else. I'd like to be able to play some more graphics intensive games with a solid 60fps at at least Wii-quality (ex: Sonic Generations, Battlefront), instead of just games that would work better on a tablet. I don't see the point in buying a separate computer for games. I went to the BestBuy website and searched with some increased parameters (higher than minimum). It looks like there are reasonable entry level gaming PCs at around $999, but I'm not very experienced. Using the Filters provided in the attached image, could anyone help me? Thank you.
  8. Hi. Found this forum from a Techquickie video. Figured this forum could help with my general lack of knowledge about the PC Master Race.
