I've been watching LTT for some time now, getting addicted to building my own PC so finally started planning on building my first PC. Even though it's my first build, I'm actually building it for my brother. So me and my brother were both in the U.S. Marines, when I would come back from deployment he would have to deploy like a month later so never got a chance to really game together after we joined. Now that he's out and I'm in the Reserves now, we actually live right next door to each other (I rent out one half of a duplex and he rents out the other). I remember back in the day playing computer games with my brother (Like 2moons and Cabal online days), and I've kind of missed it. So I decided to build a computer for my brother. We both live in California, USA. I had a budget of about 700$, been planning out the build for a little while and well today is his birthday so I'm going to end up buying it very soon (plus going to a little LAN party at my buddies house and hopefully now he can come too).
The planned build:
CPU - Intel i3 6100
GPU - Asus Strix GTX 1050ti
MOBO - Asus Z170 Pro Gaming (full ATX)
Cooler - Corsair H55
PSU - EVGA 450 Full Modular
RAM - 8 gigs Crucial Balistix DDR4 2400
Storage - 1TB HDD
Case - Corsair - Spec 2 (Red)
Drive - LG UH12NS40

I would've loved to go all out on his build but sadly I couldn't, he couldn't afford to help pitch in for it and I couldn't go to much further then 700$ USD maybe 100$ more but that's about it. I just missed gaming with him and that's as far as I can go right now.
Any help and feed back on the build, what should I look out for when doing my first build, any input on peripherals to get, any good guides on first time boot up that's very dummie proof?
