  1. Yeah i'm finding it a struggle i'm jumping largen stages in technology IDE -> Sata HDD -> SSD Pentium 4 -> i3 There must be some hack though to get it to work e.g. fresh install of vista and then certain registry keys and transfer of file to carry over licences and keys etc.? i mean i don't have a vista disk
  2. Upgrading my dads pc from Pentium 4 with HT vista install onto a 1st gen i3/i5 with SSD. First step appears to have worked the mechanical drive has mirrored onto the SSD. However when i install that drive onto the i3/i5 machine vista load screen comes on for a second followed by a beep and a restart! I get the feeling that this is most likely a drive issue espescially with the systems being so different architechturally. The old pc's psu is dead and considering the hdd is a mechanical IDE Ribbon Drive and has a AGP port the upgrade is definitely needed. Concerns there is some licence software etc. on the old pc that we have lost the licence keys to since and wish to bring over all the activations etc. Do i just need to preload the new pc's drivers or is something else going on?
  3. On boot up windows will detect and install the new drivers, this has even been shown in some ltt videos
  4. Have you tried resetting the BIOS settings?
  5. Get it on the wan show!! You could even play the video lol
  6. Make sure you have your product key before you go ahead as the is sometimes a limitation on how many activations a product key can do and you have to ring ms support and tell them the issue and product key. They will usually reset your count and you're fine
  7. With Christmas being next week I thought it would be cool if the wan show featured some slightly different news. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/celebrity-news/could-ladbaby-actually-be-christmas-number-1-2018-with-we-built-this-city-on-sausage-rolls-a4023791.html%3famp This is a guy from Nottingham in England who has decided to create a song for numerous food banks in the UK. I believe it is currently number 2 in the UK charts by featuring it in the wan show you're effectively helping to feed the UK, with all the drama of Brexit and Google potentially stopping us getting the free app due to the daft European commission we need this song to number 1 to help those who cannot afford to buy food for the family at home.
  8. Yeah it looks like everyone is ignoring us ... Bump

    Coax to HDMI

I would say if coax cable is used then almost certainly you're looking at an analogue signal such as the old yellow VCR cable. Hdmi is entirely digital base, however as you can get VGA to HDMI you should be able to get a converter for your but it might be better with one of those phono connectors http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/rgb-and-stereo-phono-audio-to-hdmi-converter-n51qk
  10. Hi Long time subscribe first time poster... I'm in a similar position, using a Samsung 40 inch smart TV as my monitor. Suffice to say the only digital input it has is hdmi. As a technical consultant I can have the desktop and 2 laptops running to different vpns for each customer... but anyways. As I'm hopefully moving house the TV will be the home TV that leaves my desktop without a monitor, not to mention without any force of backup monitor for my hp proliant dl380 server. I have an MSI gtx970 card and looking to go for a dual monitor setup beefy enough to enjoy the odd game but versitile with multiple input options. I'm in the UK and budget for a monitors is tight but I want something that will last.
