    hey guys! I'm looking into increasing the base canvas on OBS. i currently am rocking a logitech stream cam and its great! but the are times when editing my stream for youtube i want to zoom in on myself cam. but when doing so even at 4k i cant get the full resolution that the camera can output (1080p). so i was thinking i could increase the base canvas so i can get the most out of my setup and just scale everything to frame. im thinking if i can get the base canvas to 8k i should be squared away. but i cant set it above my monitor's resolution. my current specs are: R9 7950x 64gbs ddr5 5600 RX 7900xt im hoping i can find some kind of plugin or mess with the settings but i cant figure it out. thanks guys

    Update! after many rounds of tinkering everything (except updating my bios) i have come to the conclusion: -Ryzen master literally does nothing to boost performance. -set the max temp to 90c -set your "XMP" memory settings -set your fan curves "agressively". 100% at 90c, 90% at 80c, etc. the R9 7950x is just a thermal trainwreck. it could clock higher but commerical AIOs and Air Coolers are not gonna tame it. now as exciting as it would be to investing into custom watercooling; the amount of time, money, and headaches are not worth it for me currently. I would be better off waiting for Ryzen 9000 for the generation gains rather than chasing the dragon with my current CPU. this is my first "Top Tier" CPU i bought day one and the performance increase compared to my previous R7 2700 overclocked to 4ghz all core is vast. So hopefully if anyone else wanted to look into this will help. thanks everyone for the feed back, it was very helpful!

    thanks for the reply! when rendering 4k 60fps video with premiere pro i see 5.15ghz to 5.2ghz all core. im worried that my cooler is as effecient as it could be but doesnt out right fail. ive tried to use the NZXT software but i see no difference in performance no matter what settings i adjust. i tried to fiddle with bios settings and really all i could figure out at the time was to reduce my max temp to 90c. when it was a stock 95c the cpu would thermal throttle down to 4.95ghz to 5ghz. im curious if i should just replace the cooler with another high end one to make sure its not just the chip being a steamy boi, but the extra cost for a second cooler isnt ideal. ill try to see what i can do with undervolting thank you!

    Hey guys, Ive been rocking my Ryzen 9 7950X for the past year. I bought a NZXT Kraken Z Series Z73 360mm AIO and the performance is not what I was hoping for. Is there a better cooler I should invest in or should I try to undervolt/ mess with Ryzen master? I've tried to use Ryzen Master before but couldn't quite get a handle on it. Any advice would be great! thank you!

    Thanks for the tip. I spent 4 days trying to makes sense of the Ally's software and it's just a mess. Even with custom inputs for each control mode it still was a jank mess.

    Update! After installing cyberpunk 2077 and the benchmark I found out that the GPU went to max TDP but the CPU was capped at 544mhz!?! Honestly I'm abandoning this project and reinstalled windows. Hopefully SteamOS will eventually become more open and can support other hand helds

    hey guys! I have a new project! I bought a ROG Ally and installed Holoiso. the issues im running into is the micro sd card wont "mount"? it shows up in desktop mode but i cant get any of the games to show up in "Storage" settings. i tried a different sd card and tried to mount it but it failed. also with the ROG Ally not very purpose built for SteamOS, i dont have access to the UI Buttons like the "STEAM" button. i know the commands "CLT+1" and "CLT+2" is you need but i was wondering if i could re-map the Ally's UI buttons to do those commands in Game mode? and of course the GPU wattage and clock controls. currently i am unable to adjust the anyting with Z1 extreme APU. is there anyway to gain that functionality? To re-cap: 1. get micro sd card from Steamdeck to function on Holoiso installed on ROG Ally as expected 2. re-map/ gain UI button functions using ROG Ally UI buttons 3. gain full apu functions i.e. gpu wattage and clock speed/ etc i have pacman installed, but i just need some resources to jump down the rabbithole with. if you have any experince/ advice to proceed froward. and please remember this is purely a fun side project. i will most likely go back to windows to get the most out of my ROG Ally like bios updates. thank you!

    update!!!!! okay the latest bios i used to update my MD, was the problem. i went back and updated the bios to F10 instead of F11b. i hope this helps others!

    Hey guys! Ive been having issues with my NZXT kraken Z73 and honestly I think it's time to tame my R9 7950x and RX 7900XT. If anyone could give me some resources or guides to get me started that would be awesome!     Update! I gave my pc a good cleaning. reapplied thermal paste. added 2x 140mm case fans to add more airflow and reoganized my case fans to be more efficient. Fresh install of Windows 11 and all my drivers are intalled. im using NZXTcam to track my temps. What i find interesting it that by default it will adjust fan curve to AIO liquid temp. but i have never seen my AIO liquid temp get above 35c. while extracting cinebench2024, cpu temp got to 75c and liquid temp got to 30c. just opening cinebench 2024 caused a huge spike to 95c on the cpu! all the while my lquid temp is still on 31c! is that normal? im wondering if the my block isnt transfering the heat away from the cpu into the water efficeintly enough. did i get a "bad" AIO out of the box? its been about a year of thermal throttling issues. or is the R9 7950x that much of a thermal beast? okay update^2. i ran cinebench r23 for the 10 min stress test and my liquid temp never went above 33c while my cpu was roasting at 95c! theres no way thats normal! so now im going to try to see if my thermal compound needs to be reapplied again or maybe even add more? in the mean time can anyone give me any reccomendations for high quality cpu coolers? black friday is around the corner and at this point im going to get these cpu thermals under control one way or another. maybe try custom watercooling? idk may need help with that as well.

    hey guys! i have been rocking this beast for about a year now and i want to start overclocking it. the only issue is that it runs almost always at 95C! im using a NZXT Kraken Z Series Z73 360mm, and i cant seem to keep temps under control. as much as i love the led screen on the pump, i would rather have performance. is there a better cooler on the market? i dont feel comfortable with custom water cooling but i might have to give it a try. and help or advice would be awesome. thanks!

If anyone could point me in the right direction to some resources that are novice friendly I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

    hey guys! once again im trying to setup plex on my truenas server. and of course im bashing my skull trying to figure out what the errors messages mean, but also how to fix them. i used this guide: https://www.wundertech.net/how-to-install-plex-on-truenas/ and got this error message. at this point im wondering if i should do a fresh install of truenas? have i messed up my OS? i dont understand what im doing wrong.
