  1. I have an asus 1080 ti poseidon so the fastest 1080ti from what I understand. Can I run one 27" 2k 165 hz monitor and two peripheral 24" 1080p monitors off the one card or do i need to use a second? I use the main for gaming the the peripheral for stuff like streaming YouTube discord ventrilo webpages etc. I have two of the cards but after gaming on a single 1080p and with how sli isnt as useful as it used to be I noticed even at max settings in not going over like 20 or 30% you usage even when its a game not made for sli and its only using main card. Plus having only one I think would make thermals better and ill prob use other card in my daughters computer.
  2. I meant the 1050 watt pay. I got dual 1080 ti
  3. Thanks guys think I'll go with 1050 for headroom and with how much rgb and 2 water pumps ill have.
  4. We closed 3 days before. We didnt know it was gonna be anymore then a normal thunderstorm. At that point it was clear skies and area had never flooded before in recorded history.
  5. get a delidding booth with notice to people. I would love to bring a cpu and get a LTT rep to show me how to delid it. never done it myself. I understand you wont be able to do all chips but maybe the ones most used at the moment like the new coffee lakes and maybe kaby lake with a test bench or two to test them a little after we delid. I know this is a big ask but it would definitely get me to come even with still trying to rebuild after Louisiana floods of 2016 and loosing everything 3 days after buying my home
  6. Could that max my psu a little much? Like running at almost max so often.
  7. According to pcpartpicker says I need 750 watts. If i add fans thsts another 3 and then 35 more for each of the 2 water pumps. So i was thi king thats a little under 800 watts. Should i go more for a 1000 watt pay or should i go 1250ish given i will be overclocking my cpu and maybe my coy eventually down the road. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Revan85/saved/by7Cyc
  8. Not so much limited much on budget this is my build im just curious if id ever need that much on the m.2 and fyi its a desktop. my last computer I had a 120gb ssd and added a second 120gb later I had my os and all programs on them and only barely filled up one (that was before m.2) so doubleing it to 500 I feel would suffice but idk if games now are a lot more then they were then. I haven't had computer in almost 2 years as I lost mine in 2016 to Louisiana floods and im just now able to rebuild it. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ms6wzY
  9. pretty much what the title says atm im looking at a 500gb Samsung 960 evo or a 1tb Samsung 960 evo. I plan on putting my os and probably the 2 or 3 games I play the most if I have room maybe all my games and everything else i.e. movies, files, docs etc.. on my 4tb HDD and maybe get a sata SSD later on down the road for an in between drive for stuff I don't wanna use space on m.2 for but I want to run faster then the HDD can like maybe some other games that I don't play much
  10. I'm mostly saying that to make loop piping look even on either side of case, but I prefer performance more so ill go with hour suggestion. My biggest concern was the vrm overheating I've read about but looks like that was due to a manufacturing defect with thermal pad not making complete contact with vrms. Which ill fix if that issue comes up
  11. How about a 480 and 360 on gpu and 480 and 120 on cpu/vrm?
  12. So I'm planning my custom duel water cooling loops. I'm cooling 2x 1080 ti poseidons (stock waterblock) on one loop and my i7 8700k and the mobo vrm on other (its a maximus x formula, so vrm waterblock is stock). My question is I have room for 3 x 480 mm rads what should I put them on? Originally I was thinking 2 480 mm on gpus and one 480 on cpu/vrm, but now I'm thinking split it a 480 and a 240 on each loop because I read some posts about how little cooling ppl need with 1080 tis because its so overpowered and atm I'm only overclocking the cpu.
  13. I'm looking to use as few programs to control lights as possible. atm its looking like I can using only corsair link and asus aura sync.
  14. Gskill app is something ill have to dl myself so I just wont dl it. Unlike aura sync which comes on board. Maybe ill consider going to corsair dominator instead. Is that conpatible with aura sync?
