  1. The DGR is just the retail variant, but it has no difference from the DG, for me I would take the S2716DG, it's easily overclocked to 165hz, G- Sync, and 1440p, the only thing the U2717D has over the S27 is that's it's an IPS panel TN has come a long way and the panel in the S27 is a VERY good TN panel, I'd even go so far as to say it's better looking than $3-400 IPS panels after calibration, it's sold out on the Dell site but it's $449 at Best buy right now
  2. The Dell S2716DGR is only $449 at Best buy, 27" 1440p with G-Sync, panel is TN but Dell's monitors are gorgeous https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-27-led-qhd-gsync-monitor-black/5293502.p?skuId=5293502&cmp=RMX&extStoreId=527&ref=212&loc=DWA&ksid=4055a8aa-7b87-4139-8846-ec1425f55b5d&ksprof_id=3&ksaffcode=pg252543&ksdevice=m&lsft=ref:212,loc:2&gclid=Cj0KCQjwm9vPBRCQARIsABAIQYe0wNPGllmbWYXDiBvPFvCz03XUvRs98UkLtGEGiudF8n6XKQI-tikaAsLeEALw_wcB
  3. 21, I own an auto performance Fab shop, I average $63/h Main System: i7-6700k 1080Ti SLI 32GB Team Group DDR4 ASRock Z170 Extreme 7+ Work system: i76950X Titan X(Pascal) SLI 64GB Samsung DDR4 Asus X99-E WS But this isn't really a good reference since income alone isn't the singular factor in ones lives
  4. for some reason on the Asus comparison page doesn't show freesync on the MG
  5. the MG248Q supports Nvidia 3D Vision, the VG has freesync
  6. No amount of switching settings will get it to look anywhere near as vibrant as the Samsung because the BenQ uses a lower end TN panel that just can't reproduce those colors
  7. Not with Vega at least, Navi maybe but at that point we may already have Volta
  8. Today I let my Asus MG279Q slip out of my hand while cleaning my desk and it died in the process so I popped into best buy and picked up this Alienware 25 I love it, even though it's not as sharp as my old monitor it still maintains a crispnimage since it's 2.5 inches smaller, this has got to be the most vivid TN panel I've ever seen, there weren't any reviews to really get a good idea of it from but going from an IPS to this TN the only thing I miss are the viewing angles 240hz is god tier, sorry about the shit speakers, I only use them for movie watching with my sister
  9. In terms of cables I wouldn't cheap out, the cheap Silverstone kits you see on Newegg are wind if hideous, Cable Mod is in another class with customization and better looking overall quality, and Ensourced.net is pretty much the top of the food chain when it come to sleeving, their cables are gorgeous and arched from the get go with 3s printed wire wraps instead of cable Combs, they have the biggest variety of colors/styles although a kit for you would be in the $65-80 if you wanted two pcue e, a 24 pin, and the EPS
  10. It's great! Having it spinning while spraying coated Everything evenly in a single coat and these no audible increase in sound
  11. Lately I've grown tired of my 295x2 not fitting any themes because of the red lighting and silver shroud so i decided to go ahead and paint it along with the heatspreader clips on my PNY anarchy DDR4 and color plates on the H100i v2 I run a body shop so everything was readily available. 1. Took a few even passes over everything to smooth it down with 1000 grit sandpaper, the color plates were a little tricky, the gray coating that Corsair put on them is really thin so I had to paint the backside black with a brush so the light wouldn't leak through anything but the logo 2. A pack of gray Scotch Brite pads and a bottle of Scuff Stuff and went over everything to get rid of any grime or built up dust in edges that could prevent proper adhesion 3. Soaked a paper towel with Prep-All grease and wax remover to clean everything up 4. I used generic Rust-Oleum paint and primer on the shroud and back of water block, for the fan, plates, clips and logo I used Rust-Oleum metallic gold, I wanted to keep the fan as balance as possible so I hooked it up to a 9v and sprayed it directly above the center while spinning, I ended up with great coverage and a very nice quiet spin The sticker was hard to take off and ended up tear a lot of the adhesive/paper backing off but luckily I noticed that the sapphire sticker is actually on top of the reference AMD sticker and was able to peel the two apart well
