  2. so my external drive always gets lost because it slips around on my desk and i needed a permanent solution. I grabbed some duct tape and mounted it to the under side of the desk.

Any other ideas? ---- edit ----- I used to at least get on my phone through downloading mode and restarting it, but now when I try it says "firmware upgrade failed. use software repair assistant"
  4. So a while back I was trying to root my phone and install cyanogenmod because the version of android was absolutely terrible on it. I rooted it successfully and attempted to install cyanogenmod. It failed, got the yellow triangle saying to take it to the nearest verizon store for help. I soft bricked it because I could get it to start from the software downloading menu. Now, that a better version of android has come out, I want to install it. I tried, but when it goes to reboot, it cannot. I've tried doing a factory reset but that doesn't work either. Any way that I could either completely reset my phone or update the software is what I'm looking for. Any help is appreciated
  5. thank you so much i really appreciate your help!
  6. 4 papers and a presentation due next week D:

  7. Okay thanks! Size: Large hands (20cm long 8.5 cm wide) Budget: Ideally anything under $80 because the money left over from my mouse is going to my keyboard. Grip: A hybrid between fingertip and claw I guess Macros: Not really a necessity but would be nice.. thank you so so much for your help :>
  8. it's as though my mouse has an anchor dug into my desk

  9. So my mouse has been serving me pretty well these past two years and you can definitely tell with all the wear and tear on the bottom of it. I had a keyboard but decided to ditch it because it was lagging behind with my keystrokes. So this is going to be a long-ish post of what I'm looking for and hoping to get. First off, you probably need to know what I'm going to do with the mouse, keyboard, and mousepad(do i need one!?). Well, considering I only have one machine, I have to game on it, do school-related things, and program/code. I've tried discerning my way through keyboard switches but each video seems a bit too opinionated in my opinion . I don't have a way to test the keyboards or switches to see what I like. I guess the work load is about 65% typing, 35% gaming. I play games like CS:GO and LOL so something reliable is a necessity. A Num-Pad is absolutely necessary because I use it for coding. Mouse-wise, I honestly have no idea. I don't play many MMOs except for EVE online which really doesn't require many buttons on a mouse and I'm used to using the keyboard shortcuts in League so I don't want it on my mouse. Something again, reliable, but also something that's going to work and be responsive to small changes for CS:GO. Now here's the thing: I've never used a mouse pad before. Most of my friends use them and I've for some reason never got around to getting one. If it'll improve the lifespan of my mouse, then I'll get one but the problem is. THERE ARE TOO MANY OF THEM LIKE PLS SEND HELP. Do they even benefit me or are they just another waste of money? So in conclusion here's what I'm hoping for: A mechanical keyboard with a num-pad that's comfortable to type on for long periods of time and can also game on them. A nice mouse that'll last me a while and is pretty accurate with a higher sensitvity. A big mouse mat to improve the life span of the mouse??? thank you so so so much for your help :>
  10. nearly finished with python codeacademy :>

  11. You don't need that much of a CPU cooler, even if you were going to overclock, which you can't with a 4690, but if you were to get a 4690k, it would be better just to roll with liquid cooling at that point instead of paying upwards of a $100 for air cooling. Also, you really don't need a 780, and if your purpose if for BF4 it's much better to go with an AMD card because of mantle support. Save yourself $200 or so by going with an R9 280x.
  12. Are your GPUs overheating? That might be the case because isn't the NZXT H440 silence optimized instead of airflow?
  13. Hi all, Doing a build sometime soon and can't really find a graphics card with decent reviews. I'm in the USA and would like to have the cost under $400 with at all possible red/black colour scheme.
  14. I recently purchased GTA V and i wanted to know if i could play gta v online with my friend who owns a PS3.
  15. I know I don't necessarily have the best hardware for it. But what programs or software do I need to download in order to start mining? How do I store them? Links to any resources you have would be much appreciated!
  16. No budget limit, just curious on your thoughts for a laptop that has good battery life, can game, and handle professional art applications. I don't run anything too intensive, Games like EVE online and Team fortress 2. I looked at a Macbook and the aspire S7 but wasn't sure on performance marks. I live in the US and the laptop does need to be pretty portable at most a 14 inch screen.
  17. My norton ran out 2 days ago and I haven't had a chance to get a new copy...
  18. Hi all, my laptop spontaneously shut down today and later i tried to start task manager to end a few programs, but now, anytime I open it, it just closes. I tried running as an admin but it closes still. I run windows 7, but any help you can spare would be great.
  19. Sure, I'm open to anything at this point.
  20. The Zalman clips i could fine are onyl 10.99 USD. Are they cheaply made?
  21. I'm using a laptop, and it has terrible onboard sound. I've looked at external solutions but they are either too expensive or cheaply built. The problem is is my mic on the headset, on skype calls my friends will tell me that my voice cuts out and the there is this high pitched background noise. I've replaced my headset once, which was a temporary fix. But now I will be saving up for a new pc.
  22. Yeah, My logitech gaming headset just died, and I need a new gaming headset. Preferrably USB. Keep it under $65 and I'm in the U.S.
