  1. Have reset the cmos already, did not do anything. How do I go about disabling the iGPU?
  2. It does not need an extra power connection, the amd software recognizes the gpu, and it shows up in the devicemanager. The fan is also spinning, if that helps.
  3. So I just built a pc for a friend of mine, it's for productivity only and not for gaming. The pc is fine and boots, nothing wrong. The problem i'm having is that when I connect the monitor to the GPU, it doesn't output, and if I connect it to the motherboard, it works fine. The only thing is that the friend of mine wanted to use dual monitors, so I need the pc to output the video signal through the GPU. - Windows 10 Home 64 bit - Asus Prime B250M-K - Intel i3 7320 - 2x4 GB Vengeance LPX 2133MHz - Asus RX550-4G - WD Blue 2TB HDD - Corsair CX450M I already tried to change the primary graphics device in the BIOS from CPU to PCI-e, but when I save and exit, the pc automatically changes it back to CPU and nothing changes. All help is appreciated!
  4. Hey everyone, So I'm building a system for a buddy of mine, who needs it for general productivity, he's not a gamer. Here's the part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qgkjxY The thing I'm mostly worried about is the ability to run dual monitors without a dedicated graphics card, will the motherboard and cpu combo be able to run and connect dual monitors? Thanks in advance, Nick
  5. @1kv @ZM Fong I updated my list according to your advice. Opinions?
  6. I still need a new pc though, my old one is getting to slow for modern games, but I think I will go for an HDD with an additional smaller SSD then, do you have any recomendations concerning the hard drives?
  7. I think there might be a problem with my hdd then When it's not idle, it makes noise like just as loud as my typing on my keyboard
  8. My current computer only has an hdd and it makes a hell of a lot of noise constantly, i wanted to go as silent as possible because i find the sound very annoying. Maybe you know what type of hdd makes the least noise? It would be a great way to lower the cost and maybe allow me to go for the 580 instead.
  9. Interesting, altough I really had my mind set on using the new Ryzen cpu , is there a reason you opted to go for Intel instead of Ryzen?
  10. Why did you go for better memory and another Motherboard, if I may ask?
  11. Hey all, I'll get straight into the action, I'm planning to build myself a new computer, as my old computer is just not sufficient enough for the games I want to play. My current pc has the following specs: Amd Athlon X4 740 AMD Radeon R7 260X And some other generic parts, as I bought it pre-built from a local company 5 years ago. The budget I'm aiming for is 800 euro's max, which comes down to 700 dollars, I find. The main use of the computer will be gaming, but I'm also planning on going to college, so it has to have smooth productivity aswell. I already own 2 monitors and peripherals, so those don't concern me. both monitors being just regular full HD. I put together a list of components, but as it is my first time building a pc myself, I'm afraid I'll screw up and have incompatible parts and that something will not work. Here are my preferred parts: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 ASRock A320M Crucial DDR4-2133 2x4 GB Crucial MX300 525GB SSD MSI Radeon RX570 ARMOR 4G OC Corsair Carbide 88R Corsair CX450M Arctic F12 120mm I'm looking for any and all tips you guys can give me, thanks in advance. EDIT: Here is the PcPartPicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fjCf4C EDIT: After some tinkering and playing around with the tips you guys gave me, I came up with the following setup: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 ASRock AB350M G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 2800MHz 2x4GB WD Green SSD M.2 240 MB WD Blue 1TB AUS ROG-STRIX RX 570 O4G Corsair Carbide 88R be quiet! Pure Power 10 500W Arctic F12 120mm Case fan https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PfBf4C Any tips?
