  1. I wish ssd manufacturers had drives with higher random qd1 speeds, even if they needed to sacrifice top qd800 speeds in order to achieve it
  2. yes, I know, I will be caching to ram, it would be for an L2 cache just for system restarts ect. the software can fetch all the info from it instead of having to rebuild again from the start one of the builds that I need it for is a 5 gen AMD ...idk I kind of want to go optane but at the same time, as they stopped the technology and is still so expensive, I'm not so sure, I know eventually I will get at least a p1600x to try it out
  3. hey! I'm looking for a fast drive to use as L2 cache for a build, the thing is the drive it will serve is kind of fast already (980 pro) with primo cache there will be 10 gb as L1 and want something with high random 4k qd1 reads... READS<<< low latency would be good too, and hi spead Write is not that important Apart from Optane, any suggestions please? I am between the KC3000 and MP600 Pro but any suggestion will be appreciated
  4. well, I rather check from the original manufacturer software that everything's going fine than losing data, or depending on a free software sustainend on idk what or to spend on redudundancy, nas etc. at the same time, on the laptop or entertaiment pc family pc etc. I don't check anything, heck I don't even use antivirus security softs etc , it's not a matter of ocd, if something breaks no deal, I change it and that's it, but for the work pc you need to be more cautious, you can have a different opinion, of course each to their own
  5. for example, Magician doesn't recognize some of the Crucials functions
  6. yeah to check for firmware drivers updates, check if there are errors, dirve health, I run a diagnostic test weekly or so, tb written etc. specially the cache drive gets a beat hard, this one has about a month
  7. oh nice to know, plus when I google 870 qvo issues the results are all over the 870 evo, I think I'l buy the Samsung over the Crucial, plus I could move the snaller crucials to another pc and deal only with samsung soft on it
  8. yeah I love crucial, have multiple mx500 myself but smaller capacity, does it worth it over the samsung ? it's almost 100 euros more expensive, I have an QVO too but only for 4 months or so, and only the 1tb version another thing I prefer from the samsung is the magician software, think it's way better than Storage Excecutive... I wold love to have only 1 soft for all the ssd but if the mx 500 is still a better/safer option, I have not problem taking it over the Samsung
  9. I'm looking to get a 4tb dirve as storage and was set on the 870 evo but found out there are lots of issues and now I'm on the fence... what of these would you preffer? Crucial MX 500 4 tb (https://www.amazon.es/dp/B09FRRWVWX) Samsung 870 QVO 4 tb (https://www.onlinecanarias.com/ssd-25/6790-samsung-ssd-870-qvo-sata3-4tb-disco.html) my major concern is stability, durability, etc. speed isn't as important as it will be mostly for projects/media storage etc. I have 980 pros as system disc and cache already
  10. Nah I installed on a cache m.2 I had... what unnecesary amount of work for something shuld be just a swap... I'm on the i9 already now don't remember how to set windows password instead of a pin... any idea? damn idk why this people like to change so many things that just work as they are
  11. IDK if he was joking but otherwise the guy has material to work at asus or intel support
  12. really don't know just did a search to see what PPT and TPM stand for but, I don't know how that could be related, i don't have tpm or tpm2 or anything, i don't even know what those are, I just updated windows to 11 like months ago, the issue is when installing the new processor
  13. Hey need help with this... just got the 13900k and after updating the bios, intel me and drivers everything up to the newest, the bios detects the cpu and the ram etc. but when try to load windows gives me that error, I needed to put the 12700k back to be able to boot I've bee in contact with intel support, the store where I got the cpu and asus... so far I've got replies so discouraging as "that cpu is not compatible with your motherboard" or "did you managed to get video out?" they intel guy even asked me if "the issue" was related with an i5/i7/i9... all of this after giving the model and pictures etc... I'm so tired already any hint what could be happening?
