  1. Summary Docker wants to remove the "Free Team organizations" subscription, which will force (f)oss projects to a. not be able to use Docker or b. pay for a subscription. Docker released a Statement, which seems to be a carefully worded non-apology, which leaves the foss-projects in the air about their docker-future. Quotes from the email from Docker: Qoute from dockers statement: Furthermore, Docker stated the following regarding (f)oss projects: Many (f)oss projects fear that they might not be applicable for the "Docker-Sponsored Open Source program" even with the new guidelines for the "DSOS", which would force them to a. not use docker anymore or b. pay for a subscription. Lastly, one of the criterias for the DSOS states the following: This might be a problem for some projects. My thoughts If I understand this evolving situation correctly, this might be a blow for many (f)oss projects which use docker. Even if this is a non-issue in the end (because all foss-projects will be accepted into the DSOS, which remains to be seen), the uncertainty is there. Sources Twitter-Post from Alex Ellis, founder of openfaas, publishing the email from Docker: Statement from Docker: https://www.docker.com/blog/we-apologize-we-did-a-terrible-job-announcing-the-end-of-docker-free-teams/ Docker-Sponsored Open Source program: https://www.docker.com/community/open-source/application/ Please be gentle with ( and correct) me if I got something wrong here. I tried to summerize it as best I could.
  2. I've tried to research to hole thing about NordVPN und somehow stumbled upon these new accusations regarding how NordVPN is unblocking Disney+. https://medium.com/@derek./how-is-nordvpn-unblocking-disney-6c51045dbc30 Since I'm not sure how trustworthy this site is, I'd call it an "accusation" rather then a fact. But if these accusations are true, you should stay as far away from NordVPN as you can.
  3. Source: https://www.golem.de/news/subdomain-takeover-microsoft-loses-control-over-windows-tiles-1904-140717.html TL;DR: The german news website Golem.de has successfully taken over Microsoft’s Domain for the windows tiles in Windows 8 &10, after Microsoft forgot to renew or delete the domain from Windows.
  4. As I watched a recent episode of TQ on floatplane, I realised I would like to click somwhere to open the mentioned video(s) about the other episodes. Sadly, I was unable to find a link in the description or - which would be super cool - a field inside the video (like the little "i" or the old rectangle from YouTube). Is that something that could be added as a feature?
  5. You could give Hitfilm Express a look. But it might be a bit to feature heavy for your purpose.
  6. @Husky Thank you for your reply, but sadly it only shows up as 1,8GB USB drive, which could not be true since it also has this a 5,38GB "DVD-drive" on it.
  7. I did not. I thought I would just get an email saying (basically) "It's our software and we are not allowed to share to you". But maybe it's worth a try non the less. I'll mail them. Thank you so far, @Crunchy Dragon.
  8. Sadly I didn't get a notification, so I'm sorry for my late reply. First, thank you for your reply @Crunchy Dragon. It didn't show up as one USB drive. It shows up as one USB drive and one DVD-drive even in the disk manager of windows. I'm not sure, how I would be able to fix this.
  9. Hello, I'm searching for a way to use the driver usb stick from the ASUS X99 Rampage V Edition 10 as a normal USB device. At the moment it shows up as two devices at the same time: First a dvd drive with all drivers and second as a normal usb with around 1,8GB. Does anyone know how to use it/has a "normal" firmware for it (if needed)? Thank you in advance. PS: I'm sorry for my broken english, I'm (sadly) not a native speaker.
  10. You should check the event logs of your system. You can find them with right click on the windows icon --> event logs. There is a category "system". Search there for errors right before your pc crashed (they have a timestamp).
  11. So that seems not to be the problem. Did you look into your event log?
  12. I don't think this is a good idea to be honest. You shouldn't put more voltage on something that isn't working anyway.
  13. Hi there, did you monitore your temperatures (especially from the gpu)? And did you try an older driver (for the gpu)? You might also want to look into the system event log of your pc.
  14. The last point of yours is an argument (to me), but be warned: BF1, ME:A and ShaderMods are high demanding (last one more due to bad programming and Java). The 1070 might be a little bit "unsersized" for a good experience. But if you can return the monitor within a week or so, go ahead and try it. Or (if possible) ask a friend to try his/hers.
