  1. Can i use a 360mm top mounted aio? Is there enough clearance?
  2. 360mm radiator should solve the problems, in the Deepcool case?
  3. I'm buliding a new pc , shortlisted to these two cases ( cause going for a white theme) 1) NZXT H510 ( the base without RGB ) 2) Deepcool Macube 310p What would be a better case? I'm hearing intake issue and cooling problems My build is ( aiming ) Founders 3070 + AMD 5700x + 240mm aio + the usual parts to make it the lights come on Flexible on aio ( bigger or air cooling ) Help is much appreciated!
  4. My bad its GL703GS, The new scar edition one. Thats the weird thing, i cant seem to find any specs, I used CPU-Z and figured out its a 16GB DDR4 2666 MHz stick That's all, so is there any other thing i should keep in mind ? Dual channel always helps out. Suggest some thermal paste too ?
  5. So I was looking to add a stick of RAM to my device. ASUS GL702GS; The new scar edition. I got a little confused looking at the with the ram options. I matched the latency , but there are so many other categories like SR/DR/QR. Can some one give me a TLDR, or a starting point to figure out what to choose from.
  6. Does Silicon lottery also have any effect ? For intel K version chips; Do that also make the benchmark values vary ?
  7. Explaining benchmarking, how it works. Why is it different from PC to PC although of the same model. What do the numbers mean, how is it useful to the general population.
  8. I was wondering why exactly do benchmark values are never the same. They always fluctuate. Case 1 : When two different PC's of the same config. Case 2: When the benchmark is run on the same PC twice. Why don't ever the values match ?
  9. Haha, yeah even I was posting on that forum, got it solved. Thanks though!
  10. I don't use any driver software (kinda annoying when it toggles with your game settings), just bare bone drivers and everyday software, nothing that would affect windows functionality. Anyway, wasted another hour-ish of my life. Here's what I did: Try 1) Clean format. Installed 1607 ( Anniversary Update) Tried to update to CU(1703) -> failed again. Try 2) cleaned windows drive ,removed windows installer files.(Disk clean up , no 3rd party shenanigans) Installed basic drivers( graphics, LAN/WIFI,audio,Bluetooth) The whole shebang from the Asus support website. (NVIDIA for the graphics driver) Except for those bonus functionality software. Still cant. So now restored my system from my restore drive ( USB stick). On the bright side: BCD error gone, but the windows updater keeps requesting to install 1703. So Microsoft hasn't disabled my device for the update, I hope that's at-least good news. What's weird though, The BCD error 454 , cant seem to find it anywhere/any reference. That's what intrigues me.
  11. No, I have not used a registry cleaner. Though when I used trouble shoot windows update ( last resort I did this ) it fixed some data base update reg error, but still my issue persisted. I use Windows defender , and haven't installed any other on this PC. I do keep a check on my resource monitor and nothing is hogging system resources or any abnormal behavior. Have not encountered any virus as such till date. All Drivers are upto date, latest issue was with the NVIDIA drivers for a bunch of ASUS systems, but that got fixed in the latest build a couple of days back.
  12. The auto update is failing every time it tries, hence I tired manual. Every couple of days it tries to install it, and fails at like 28-30%
  13. The creators update is failing to install, and it goes back to previous version of windows. The ota update fails every time it tries to upgrade, have differed the update, but its annoying. So I figured a clean install would be easier and obvious fix. The issue i ran into was my restart stopped working. I get a BCD boot error of 0xc000454 every time I restart. The error cant be fixed with all possible repair fixes ( manual and automatic). This is so messed up, its was advertised as a Windows 10 partner device for Creators update. The RoG forums are reporting the same issue. I've tried so much for a week now, I cant seem to find a fix. Any help/ideas would be appreciated. The device I'm referring to ASUS ROG STRIX GL502VS-DB71 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 6700HQ (2.60 GHz) 16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD 256 GB PCIE SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB GDDR5 15.6" FHD 1920 x 1080 Windows 10 Home 64-Bit)
