    HP Omen 32q

Hi! Does anyone have the HP Omen 32q monitor there is a good deal on it where I live but I'm having an issue finding some reliable info about it. Is it any good ? Will be used mostly for fps gaming and some media consumption
  2. As the title said. My cat chew the cable I bought a new replacement cable for it, the usb port works, audio jack works, but the keyboard only shows signs of life if I put it in DEMO mode all the lights come on and when I press keys the RGB reacts but If I switch it from Demo mode (Hold ESC+CAPS+SPACE unplug and plug in again) to normal mode the keyboard is dead, no light, no response whatsoever, device manager doesn't see it.
  3. PC specs: MB- Msi MEG B550 gpu- 3060 cpu - amd ryzen 7 3700x ram - corsair vengeance ddr4 2x8gb (old) / Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 (new) (both tested) ssd- samsung 970 evo 1tb psu - corsair rm650 So a friend of mine bought some parts few years ago (specs above) and someone build it for her. Since beginning, she would experience random crashes (no blue screen errors) she took it to a pc shop where they tested all the parts and couldn't find a faulty one (the store did take the gpu, cpu and ram out to test them in other pcs and they said they worked fine <- her words) she also got another PSU and the issue persisted. We swapped the memory as the current one wasn't on the compatibility list for her MB and the issue is still there. Any ideas what to look at next?
  4. Samsung can be such a hit or miss with their warranty, I've been lucky and unlucky dealing with them, thank f^&k for amazon customer service who always dealt with whatever Samsung wouldn't. Is there a chance you bought it form Amazon? if so give them a call and explain the situation, they will sort you out
  5. It all depends on your budget and what games you wanna play, GPU is a must this one is quite old but the price is decent GPU https://www.amazon.co.uk/maxsun-RX-580-2048SP-DisplayPort/dp/B0BY1GHRDV/ref=sr_1_6?crid=NUJ592SG6ZZ0&keywords=gpu&qid=1684236251&s=computers&sprefix=gpu%2Ccomputers%2C107&sr=1-6 and maybe upgrade CPU https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Ryzen-4500-Processor-12-thread/dp/B09VCJN7HZ/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2OZ8U5CQCKFFY&keywords=amd&qid=1684236121&s=computers&sprefix=amd%2Ccomputers%2C109&sr=1-6 If budget is not a question then just build a whole new pc
  6. There is a program called WinDirStat which will analyze your drive and show you the files on it by size
  7. If you look at the photo you can see that there is only one slot available for upgrades. Without opening it up it's difficult to say but 4gb is most likely soldered on and 8 added so you can add 16gb stick or 32gb stick
  8. DDU Nvidia drivers and install again in safe mode
  9. I have seen sm58 for just under 100 but not sure about any decent xlr audio interface for 50. Any recommendations for the OP(and future me when I will upgrade to xlr)?
  10. for under 150 and with black friday coming up I would consider: Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ RØDE NT-USB Shure MV7 - you will need to find a good deal to be 150 normally it cost around 230
  11. personally I would wait for the 7900 reviews to come out, and if they are positive (and budget allows) would upgrade to it and 5800x3d. if they are too expensive to afford both I would still go with GPU as you will see best performance upgrade.
  12. try to disabling noise reduction in steel software and test then
  13. I use https://bitwarden.com/ a good opensource password manager and you can sync it with your phone and other devices
  14. TBH, I don't know much about KVMs but Wendel from Level1Techs is a tech community legend and those KVMs are highly rated. Hopefully you can find something else in your price range. Check out their forum maybe you will have more luck there https://forum.level1techs.com/
