  1. 10600k vs 10850k? Someone above said that the i9 isn't worth the 2x price tag because my only concerns are editing experience/workflow and gaming because something called IPC is the same on all intel 10th gen, (I don't really care about render time) I would like to get the one wjth the best bang for the buck!
  2. I still can't decide. Or should i just go for the 3600? Would that be a significant upgrade from my 1700? That will overall costs cheaper
  3. As I said, the ryzen price is stupid here, msi mag b460m + 10600k is cheaper by 10$ than the 3700x, why does the 3700x cost that much? However 3600 is reasonably priced. 10600k + b460 = 530$ Ryzen 3700x alone = 540$ Ryzen 3600 = 280$
  4. So there are barely any difference in the editing process/workflow, the i9 only wins in render time noticably? So, I should just save the money and go for the i5 10600k?
  5. I did, didn't I? Basically Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop (all CC2021) with Affinity designer
  6. I don't think my board supports it, but I don't know, my board is an old Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3. 3900x is around 200$ more expensive than i9 10850k
  7. So, i5 vs i9 for video editing workflow doesn't really matter? (Not about render time) To answer the second question, because the price of the new 3000 or 5000 series ryzen is bonkers here. The 5600x is 10 more expensive than the i9 10850k. I guess there are many Ryzen enthusiasts in my country so stock is limited.
  8. Hey all, I'm currently running a Ryzen 7 1700 stock with Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 since 2017. I think it's time for an upgrade! I'm a gamer and also work as a video editor and photo editor (If I got an order/commission). I use premiere, after effects, and photoshop mainly, also affinity designer sometimes. I want someone to bust the myth for me right here right now. If I tried searching for "i5 10600k vs i9 10850k video editing" It will just show up a bunch of rendering time benchmarks which I couldn't care less for. I want to know how much different are they in the terms of "Editing/Working Experience". Like I said, I couldn't care less about rendering time, I just want the editing/working process to be stutter free, lag free, previews faster and all (Editing while being laggy or super heavy is stressful I tell ya). If they aren't that much different in the terms of "editing experience", I'll save the money and take the i5, with the price of the i9, I can get two 10600k honestly. I even read that previews while editing are being done by GPU, not CPU. Well in the terms of gaming, the 10600k can definitely go toe-to-toe with the i9 in 1080p. (I'm running 1080p 144hz). Also, I would most likely get the MSI MAG B460M Mortar as my motherboard (I've read good VRM temperatures about it, and I don't plan on overclocking, I've seen benchmarks of overclocked 10600k and stock, honestly not that much different.) Otherwise, the other one would be Asus Prime Z490-P, should I even get that?
  9. Nah, definitely at 144hz. the cursor is super smooth, but the game felt like it's below 60 even though it shows 400fps at the top.
  10. My setup: Ryzen 7 1700 16 gb of ram GTX 1060 3gb Main monitor: Samsung CFG73, 144hz 1ms Second monitor: Old Acer monitor, 900p 60hz So yeah, my main monitor is 144hz, connected via display port cable my second monitor is 60hz, connected via VGA-HDMI adapter. For the case I'll use Minecraft because currently it's my group go-to-game. With no shaders, my fps shows around 300-400 fps. But clearly, I notice that it's even below 60 fps. It shows 400fps in the game but when I see it in the monitor, it felt like below 60, around 30-40ish. How do I fix this? Well unplugging the second monitor reverts the fps back to normal but I need the second monitor for livestreaming. For heavy games I understand, but Minecraft with no shaders? Come on.
  11. I'd prefer safety tbh. So I guess I should go with 1660S I have some question regarding this too, my processor is Ryzen 7 1700, would I be better off with NVENC or my CPU? Currently I'm on 1060 3gb, most of the games pushes out my card to 99%, will that lag out if I decided to use NVENC?
  12. They're the same price, I can get 3 years of warranty if I go with 1660S, no warrranty on the 1070ti. My usage would be for gaming, livestreaming, video editing, photo editing, and 3d modelling with blender
  13. Wow that was fast, I'm sad to say that I don't understand much about OC-ing RAMs and stuffs, if I buy a 2666 mhz stick (It says 2666 mhz on the product name) such as GEIL or VGEN's, will it work right out of the box? So I can just plug it and forget it? RAM speed doesn't really matter for me As I don't game, I just want it to be "issue-free".
  14. Hi! I have a 3 years old pc, Ryzen 7 1700 and Gigabyte AB-350M Gaming-3 (Current bios version is F6). Bios update changelogs If I check ryzen's wikipedia page, my processor supports DDR4-2666 Dual-Channel. If I check my board's specifications. It is written: Support for DDR4 3200(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2667*/2400/2133 MHz memory modules * Support for higher than DDR4 2667 MHz may vary by CPU. also, my bios version if F6 and it has "Improved DDR Compatibility" in the changelog, is that an update that allows 3200mhz sticks? Does that mean my rig can only run 2666 sticks? I'm currently at 2400mhz, and don't know much about RAMs, I want to upgrade to 32GB asap for video editing...Speed don't really matter that much for editing but I don't want my pc to go bluescreen just because of incompatible ram. Thanks guys!
  15. I will try out that solution you linked from the other thread tomorrow, If it doesn't work I'll just reinstall. Thanks guys
  16. The post title made me think It's a different issue from mine, I don't even know that the cause of my problem is booting from the wrong hard drive
  17. Basically it just won't boot and plays an endless soft beep. I've googled around and probably the culprit is that windows 10 planted some files on my other drives besides the main one for the OS. (Yes, I installed windows with my other drives plugged in). I want to use my ssd on my oldest computer. Kinda got bored in quarantine, so why not revive my oldest pc. Is reinstalling windows with other drives unplugged the only easy solution? Or is there another easy way to fix this. Thanks!
  18. I'm looking for a motherboard for my i7 3770 machine, it works perfectly to this day, it's only lacking slow transfer speed because of usb 2.0, so any easy to find motherboard of lga 1155 right now?
  19. M Rafi Hardi Wardhana membagikan tautan 3 menit I'm picking a 144hz monitor for the first time right here, after searching for quite a time. it's resolved to these 2. can you guys give me some insights on this? Samsung C24FG73 -24inch -curved -quantum dot (?) -VA https://www.samsung.com/levant/monitors/c24fg73/ vs Acer KG271 Cbmidpx - FreeSync Monitor 27-Inch ZeroFrame 1ms 144Hz FHD -27inch -Flat -no color features? tests say around 75% RGB -TN https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.HX1AA.C02 it's only between these 2, please don't suggest any other brands as only these 2 have service centers in my city, just in case anything goes wrong. thanks.
  20. What are the differences? Is it true that the version without "P" runs at 75hz, while the P version runs at 60hz? Currently, it's the cheapes ultra wide monitor on the market in my country, costs about 168$ domestic shipping included with IPS panel, Do you know any more budget ultra-wide monitor?
  21. let's say if i have a 1080p TV, i set my native desktop resolution to 1920x1080, and while playing some game, i set the game resolution at 1280x720 (only game), it looks bad. then i tried playing with my ps3. it looks great even on 720p. so... are there any difference between native 1080p, game 720p and native 720p, game 720p? because games scaled down to 1280x720 doesn't look as good as ps3's 720p.
  22. I'm using 1050 Ti right now, i can say it's pretty weak for current AAA games and further to be released, i can't even go 60 FPS at the lowest settings. thanks guys.
  23. I'm playing Assassin's Creed Origins, 1080p, settings all the way to the left, on certain indoor locations it plays at 60, however when i'm outside especially in big towns, the fps is around 40ish. and still can't go 60 fps, i achieved 60 fps by turning down resolution to 1600x900 but it's blurry af. My 1050 Ti is accompanied with Ryzen 7 1700 and 16 GB of DDR4 Ram (both not overclocked)
