  1. The power supply should be fine. But what I really should point out is your CPU of choice I would recommend getting the Ryzen 7 3700X with a beafy CPU cooler and overclocking it slightly. Its a similar case to the Ryzen 7 1800x and Ryzen 7 1700x i'm still rocking my Ryzen 7 1700x at 1800x speeds!
  2. Hi I recently sold my old gaming laptop with a gtx 1050 and an i5 7300hq with 8gb of ram i'm looking to buy a new gaming laptop for sub ~800$ and I have boiled down my options into those 2 laptops https://www.newegg.com/global/qa-en/black-msi-gl-series-gl65-9sc-003-gaming-entertainment/p/N82E16834155298?Description=gaming laptop&cm_re=gaming_laptop-_-34-155-298-_-Product https://www.newegg.com/global/qa-en/stealth-black-asus-tuf-gaming-fx505du-mb53-gaming-entertainment/p/N82E16834235244?Description=gaming laptop&cm_re=gaming_laptop-_-34-235-244-_-Product they are both on sale and have free shipping so I have to make the decision soon because I live in the middle east and shipping is expensive I mainly game and sometimes I take my laptop to a library or robotics competitions i'm afraid the GTX 1650 in the MSI one is not going to cut it but I'm a fan of the design and it has a powerhouse CPU on the other side i'm afraid that the R5-3550H in the ASUS will cause a bottleneck although its cheaper i'm not a fan of its design or thickness, but i'm down to work with it which options is more wise and if there is any other suggestions it will be great and no i'm done with gaming desktops so please I wont build any more of those Sorry for garbage English its my second language Thanks,
  3. Hi Recently my Lenovo y530 cpu fan stopped working, the gpu fan is still working though I replaced thermal paste and tried to take the fan apart to try and see the issue but I couldn't until I find a replacement fan, can I set a thermal limit to my cpu through software because the BIOS is pretty limited.
  4. Portability is not a factor the I consider, the Legion has an issue with overheating and hitting thermal limits even after repasting and giving it to a pc repair shop I lost hope and I want to get rid of it On paper the ASUS looks better in all aspects except the cpu I still don't understand what you mean by less performance The gtx 980m is a slightly slower version of a gtx 970 which sits around the performance of a gtx 1050 ti that's aside from the extra ram and SSD
  5. The HD 7850 is ever so slightly more powerful than a GTX 750 Ti I assume you will get a Massive jump in performance, around 70 percent
  6. Hello, I am looking to buy a used ASUS G751JY from my local market it has the following specs I7 4720HQ 24GB RAM 1TB HDD AND 256GB SSD GTX 980M GB GDDR5 17inch 75Hz G-sync display Jet fighter style body that's massive and im not so sure about, I'm buying it for 500 dollars and its in minimalistic use with its box and the battery lasts 3.5H I Have a Lenovo legion with a gtx 1050 i5 8300h 8gb ram no ssd that im going to sell to a friend for 480 dollars so I don't mind the extra bit I don't take my laptop around I only travel twice a year and its the only time the laptop would eave my desk is the laptop worth its price tage= and how well does the specs hold up I play pubg, GTA V, battlefield V and the gtx 1050 is not cutting it in even low settings. Sorry for utter garbage English its my 2nd language.
  7. I was very pleased with the performance, But the CPU wasn't even being utilized over 20 percent and all I do is gaming... that's why I'm looking to get things that is on par with my GPU performance. or I hope so atleast
  8. Do you think it will bottleneck the GPU?? I play on 900p
  9. Open the Nvidia control panel then go to manage 3D sittings and for the use of the Nvidia proccer over intigrated graphics
  10. Hello everyone, im looking to buy a cpu for my gaming rig, I already had a ryzen 5 2600 but sold it for a profit to a friend of mine I have 2X8 gb DDR4 2400MHZ ram and an ASROCK B450M PRO4 and my trusty old GTX 780 IM considering lower end options because of the bottlenecks I had with my ryzn 5 using the GTX 780 and im not planning to upgrade it I play PUBG,R6,MORDHAU and more games but nothing too AAA im trying to save as much as possible so is it worth getting the ryzen 3 1200 or should I pay extra for the R3 2200g I have no problem OCing and I have brave heart in doing so ;D English is my second language so sorry for mistakes Thanks, :)
  11. Try a different windows 10 installation, The one you have might be a corrupt copy, Also try unplugging and repluging the GPU back or try a different one if you have.
  12. As long as you don't OC you should be fine.
  13. That said, the Ryzen 5 2600 is 145$ on amazon and the cheapest CPU currently in the 3000 seires is for 200 dollars
  14. I had an idea to Sell the CPU,RAM,MOBO,CPU COOLER, and get a ryzen 5 1600 with a mobo and 8gb of ram, I think I would make some profit or I'm just day dreaming?
  15. its most likely an HD 5450 with 512mb DDR3 ram
  16. I was offered to exchange my ryzen 7 1700x system with 16gb of ram and an Asrock b450 motherbored for a B85 motherbored from MSI with an I7 4790 with 8 gb of ram and a big cooler from phanteks the PSU in both systems is identicl, The storage is the same (1tb hdd, 120gb ssd), but I have an RX 580 8gb and will swap for an r9 290x which I don't mind much because I have thermal issues with the RX He will give me 200 dollars plus a 2TB WD hdd is it worth it?? sorry for my bad english
  17. I'm going for the Uphere fans which cost 30 dollars, Plus rgb fans cost around 90 dollars locally
  18. I was not considering a single channel option, The mobo I chose has 4 slots so it gets me going down the line
  19. Indeed its not the highest quality, But you have a locked CPU and your GPU can be undervolted to ensure the least power consumption possible If you in a country far from pc parts like me (middle-east) then you can use it but if you have other Options PLEASE consider them over this PSU I've used this PSU personally with an i7 2600 and a GTX 680 4gb and it ran fine Use at your risk, but it gets the job done
  20. Hello people, so I was looking fo ra platform for my next build,I have a case(thermaltake commander),GPU (RX 580 8GB) and 600w thermaltake psu all I need is a platform and a bit of storage to get me going, and some RGB fans for the case my budget is 320$ without shipping I Can only get parts from amazon, so no newegg or aliexpress my original debate was either getting a Ryzen 7 1700 with 2x4 gb of 2666mhz ram, Or a ryzen 5 1600 with 2x8gb of ram with same speed I use my pc for gaming and android apps Dev, please say any suggestions down below excuse my bad English. Thanks in advance
  21. like for example I built a pc for my friend with an OptiPlex that has an i5 2400, 6gb, 500 gb hdd I upgraded the psu and added an r9 270 that I got of ebay works like charm and costs around 280$ Goodluck.
  22. for the OEM its easy BUT PLEASE make sure that you get a system with 8GB of ram finding ram that works on oem systems can be a hit or miss but here I guess they always miss
