  1. Thanks I updated m UEFI Bios, but will also be keeping my old cpu for now.
  2. Hi guys, I am planning on upgrading my PC, its good but more horsepower will be great. I basically do 3D modelling and game development primarily on Unreal Engine. As the title suggest I have ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO (x370) with Ryzen 1700 and would like to upgrade to R9 3950x. I will at some point get the latest motherboard along with a new GPU, but I can only get the CPU at this point. My motherboard does support this CPU and I have no intention to overclock it. So my question is, will I run into any trouble along the way or anything else I should be aware of. Any inputs will be appreciated. For anyone interested in the specs of my PC: Ryzen 1700 Asus Crosshair VI Hero Corsair Vengence 3000 Mhz 16 gb x 4 (64 gb) Gigabyte 1080ti 512 gb NVME (Boot drive) 256 x2 ssd 6 tb x 2 hdd 2 tb x 2 hdd 4 tb x 3 external hdd for backup 1000 W EVGA (gold or platinum don't remember)
  3. Noise shouldn't be such a big issue for me as I am already running a huge air conditioner along with fan I am pretty sure my ambient sound levels would be much higher than the cards. Though Zotacs warranty is definitely tempting and I haven't had any problems with my old Asus Strix to test their service. Besides I doubt any of them would replace a burnt unit.
  4. Thank you guys I think I will go for Asus Rog 1080Ti. They do have nice service here.
  5. I will try to wait but I have waited too long and then I'll be waiting for Votla and so on......Lol
  6. I am currently in India 1080ti is available here so the prices are inclusive of duties. I wish winter was coming its too dam hot right now
  7. Yeah the prices are pretty screwed here we have to give a lot of import duties. Lol I feel the same about Zotac Cards.
  8. I dont have many choices here .Asus and MSI are available but MSI comes with stock cooler.
  9. Thanks for the reply, I think I could get Asus Rog Strix then.
  10. Yes it is perfectly safe. You just have to re-enter date and time again.
  11. Hi guys this is my first post here and I thought to get some advice for a new PC build. My main focus is 3D modelling for games and GPU rendering. I do need lots of Vram and cores. This is what I am planning to buy: Ryzen 1700 Asus Crosshair VI Hero Corsair Vengence 3000 Mhz 16 gb x 2 (Might upgrade to 64 gb later) Zotac 1080ti Amp Edition Extreme Corsair 1000 watt power supply I have rest of the stuff from my old 8350 pc including 240mm Liquid Cooler from Cooler Master and Asus Hero supports AM3 coolers I think. Now the issue is that which GPU should I buy Evga 1080 which costs about 600$ USD or 1080ti which ranges from 900-1100$ USD. Does the price difference here justify the performance difference? Also the 1080 ships from US and I have some concerns regarding International Warranty and is there any reason to consider Zotacs 1080ti Amp Edition Extreme over just Amp Edition, the price difference is over 100$ USD. Any Feedback would be appreciated. THANKS!
