hello people,
i recently sold my rx480 and bought a gtx 1660 ti from msi. wiped my ssd and put a fresh copy of windows etc etc etc... updated drivers and everything so there wouldn't be no problems. but recently i noticed my pc was making constant wooshes it didnt had before .... i came to the conclusion it was from my GCard because when i went to msi afterburner i saw rpm spikes as you can see below :
the software says the fans are at 10% but as you can see they spike between 0 and 900/1000 rpm ... the card is very quiet if i maintain the rpm below 1000 but if it spikes like this in short bursts you can really notice and it's like a beating heart noise.
i also came to the conclusion the fan can hold it's rpm around 850 when i put my fan curve at 25% (below 25% the problem persists but in longer bursts) , which i also dont understand because 10% gives me 900/1000 rpm and 25% gives 850? as you can see :
is there a minimum rpm this card can do ? i already searched and found nothing. i know this card has zero rpm but i like to use my fan curves and keep the card cool, but 25% seems a lot to me since my rx480 didn't have this problem.
EDIT: i love the card, its really really really really really quiet under load compared to my sapphire rx480
