  1. Ooo, you're the only one to recommend blue over red, is there a compelling reason?
  2. I've heard the nh d15 is overpriced for its performance, how does it stack up against a be quiet dark rock 5 pro? Thanks for sticking under budget this looks great
  3. I'd like to aim for 3440x1440, or just 1440p high refresh rate so idek what that is anymore, I'd say 100 fps most of the time, if possible more. I do stream from time to time but assuming the cpu is good enough nowadays it's a non issue? No aesthetic, I've done the rgb stuff to death, bonus points if the case doesn't have a glass panel. Usb c on case would be cool.
  4. Budget (including currency): 2500 gbp±10% Country: England, UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: escape from tarkov, cyberpunk, final fantasy remakes, horizon forbidden west etc. Most other workloads I do are cpu bound Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): No peripherals needed, I have nice monitors etc already
  5. I've gamed on kz zsn pro x and they're great, also half the price of the ones you're looking at. I currently use a pair of katos by moondrop and they are phenomenal but are also around 200 usd. I hear great things about the moondrop aria and at 80 dollars I think that may be a fair contender
  6. Thank you but that doesn't really help, I'm more asking for anecdotal stuff, like is the mini big enough for note taking or is it worth the slight performance hit to get a bigger screen.
  7. To start, I've already decided on ipad, I don't particularly like the look of the android tablets and this will not replace a laptop. My choices really boil down to a used ipad pro 11 inch (2nd gen), ipad air(4th gen) or a new ipad mini(6th gen). All within £50 of each other, not enough to sway me on price. The uses? It will be used for facetiming, media consumption and note taking/annotating pdfs in a semi corporate environment(if that makes a difference) Regardless of which pick I will get a matte screen protector with an apple pencil. The size wouldn't be an issue as my desk(s) are large enough to not be a problem, as mentioned I would not be making use of any keyboard case, most likely just a folio esque case. Anyone got any strong feelings about any of these? Good or bad
  8. Well I guess my evidence was more anecdotal than anything but in most of large EU networks (GEANT, NORDUNET) use my mentioned configuration of juniper routers and cisco switches(although most are leaning towards opengear terminal servers due to the lower cost) but in the US for example in the r and e space they use mx204s to liase with eu r and e and then use predominantly cisco for their domain, so I guess the answer the OPs question would have come from where they are from
  9. From experience, juniper is much more widely used(ref EU backbone network ran by GEANT) with cisco almost exclusively used for terminal servers and switches Perhaps better advice would be to get familiar with cisco and juniper syntax, or even better yet, look into hiring companies and see what they use
  10. Learn junos syntax more than cisco, no. 1 piece of advice!
  11. To start, I hate smokeping, I don't know why the desire for it exists when things like observium and even cacti can perform icmp pings in regular intervals for checking rtt.... But back to the question, I removed the entry from config and removed the rrd file but it still errors as there's a trace somewhere, any smokeping users understand this process?
  12. 280 atm on amazon! Looks like 200 ish from warehouse though, may just bite the bullet, the warehouse deal makes it only 50 more than the 7s so seems a no brainer
  13. How is the mic? Thats the one thing pushing me away from the arctis 7, got the og void wireless and the mic arm is hanging off hah
  14. Title is pretty much it, are the pros really worth the extra 120 ish? Also I guess if anyone has any other recommendations for wireless gaming headsets, not the g935s, i can't stand the look of them, got a clean aesthetic going on rn and can't compromise on looks for the headset
  15. No worries, I had the same decision to make as you a few months back, got the razer and haven't looked back, I got the 2019 model with a 2080, hmu if you want a hand tuning it for battery and temps (these are small issues out of the box, it runs quite hot and battery isn't great, just like every thin and light)
  16. hah, this is why I said there isn't much online, fully ignoring the channels that just don't know what they are talking about, ty for the help though!
  17. i'll assume you havent pulled the trigger yet: I'll speak about each briefly: the aero is the worst in terms of price for performance, has the weird webcam placement and a cramped kb thanks to the numpad inclusion, avoid imo the gs66 is the best price for performance here, has normal webcam and the gamery look is very subdued.... apart from the font, that is hideous and ruins the overall aesthetic, also the plastic merger will mean it is less durable, so travelling you may need to be cautious, we dont know yet the blade is probably looking like a goldilocks rn, not the best price performance but has a subdued non gamery font but it does have a light up logo, but it has such a nice trackpad, but it is usually plagued with QC issues, but the trackpad is so nice, but it uses a wack proprietary charger, but it has a rugged aluminium unibody.... my point is for every good point about the blade 15, there is at least 1 bad point, I personally have and love my blade 15 but the choice between the gs66 and the blade comes down to: want slightly more ram for the money but lower build and ugly font? go for the gs66, want to risk the QC? get the blade but if you get a good one, it will be a better ish experience than the gs66
  18. okay thankyou, I can't see much online at all about the razer opus, is this bc people didnt buy them or what hah?
  19. I see a lot of buzz around the Sony WH-1000XM3's and the new ish hype around the razer opus, my price range could also accommodate a used pair of bose qc35(ii)
  20. Not really, I'd say less than 200 gbp sounds reasonable, the lower the better
  21. Title says it all, I am in need of a new gaming headset, my original corsair void wireless are giving up as of late after 4 years of constant use. I'm now looking for a new one, I need it to have at least simulated 7.1 if not true, I need them to be wireless, it's just too much of a convenience that I am used to now. I've been out of the news for a while, I'm not sure what's good anymore
  22. okay, this has alleviated the problem but it is obviously still not ideal, do you know of any other solution
  23. yes, I found half of a fix, when the monitor is unplugged, setting the graphics settings in windows for overwatch (the game exe) to high and to use the dgpu will work find and overwatch uses the gpu, when the monitor is plugged in however, it goes back to using the igpu
