  1. I use open source programs because the paid stuff is hella expensive whether u pay outright or monthly. So openshot, shortcut, davinci resolves, etc
  2. I can't afford any of the expensive editing programs atm. I've been trying different open source and free ones such as Openshot and shotcut, as well as DaVinci resolve. I'm recording hdr with Nvidia shadowplay, mass effect legendary edition. If you're asking what the bit color is I have no idea. Thanks for responding tho. Any help appreciated!
  3. So I've used various video editing programs to to edit video that were recorded in hdr. I notice when the said video that was hdr is modified and exported, that hdr seems to just not be in the video anymore. Are there any workarounds i could utilize for this? Mass Effect legendary edition without hdr doesn't look good at all.
  4. So I've researched and researched for hours and I still can't get any clear answers from anyone. I've been trying to convert a video on videoproc and even handbrake utilizing hardware acceleration, and when I look under the performance tab while videos are trying to convert, the programs only use around maybe 25% of both the gpu and cpu. It's a 4k video im trying to convert that's around 30 mins long, and yet videoproc says it'' take around 6 hours to convert....That sounds a bit extreme as far as time is concerned. Any help would be much appreciated. PS: I made sure that the formats I used, did indeed utilize hardware acceleration. I've also been to videoprocs website and handbrakes website to no avail. msi gaming plus x370 mobo ryzen 1700x evga 2070 super black 16gb corsair vengeance
  5. haha wish i did...That's why i asked about AMD products as opposed to Intel. I'd have to save u[ and wait for sales possibly until even black friday...But my current cpu is meh...so it wont support any really good gpus
  6. Got any good suggestions on coolers then? OC typically require 3rd party coolers...I have a typical full range tower ATX
  7. Nah my computer itself runs it just fine. I'm talking about through the Steam link onto my big screen tv it does not, and that means my comp is not beefy enough to mirror it onto my tv as well.
  8. I mean what would u suggest then? I do want a better graphics card than the 960 4gb...Like the only game I can play through steam link with it is borderlands 2 and thats on 720p...I mean id need a better cpu as well due to bottlenecking...
  9. So I have a Geforce gtx 960 4gb graphics card, and an AMD 6350 6 core processor at around 4ghz...Would the new AMD line upgrades be worth the upgrade? The CPU Ryzen and Vega graphics cards? Simply need some answers on this. I'd also have to dish out money for a new MOBO and RAM because of these...Would it be worth it? I was thinking the Ryzen 5 1800x for CPU and not sure on the Vega graphics? I'm presuming that the CPU and Graphics would work more cohesively with one another too because they'd both be AMD. But I notice that the GTX cards utilize Directx11 more than Directx12 like the AMD cards do...Just kind of depends on what games utilize what as well I guess. Oh and another thing...Anyone that knows anything of the Steam Link I'd prefer to comment on this as well, seeing as I want any game to run through the Steam Link and to my tv at full 1080p as well, with some anti aliasing implemented as well.
  10. The Rx580s are simply meant for people that have an older graphics card and looking to upgrade to a more new, budget friendly one. I have a Geforce GTx 960 4gb and am thinking of upgrading, but might wait for the Vega line that's coming out from AMD
  11. Yeah looked into the Ryzen but a few hours ago and I have to say...The price is incredible and they are almost up to par with Intel's chips, which is interesting. I was thinking the Ryzen 5 1800x? Maybe paired up with a Vega card when they come out, or if they are already. Either way I'll probably hold off until sales start hitting on everything. I want to run the Steam Link effortlessly with any game at 1080p which is asking for a lot from a pc. Mainly because of the "any" game aspect of it. Just sucks because I'd need an entire new MOBO and RAM as well which is expensive as hell atm. Think it's interesting how the Ryzen chips are actually designed to make more use of RAM tho.
  12. Okay so I have a gefroce gtx 960 4gb video card...I've been looking into the AMD rx580 cards, and they seem promising. First off I need to know if my current CPU would bottleneck using this card or not. It's a AMD FX-6350 6 core processor and runs around 4.0ghz...MOBO is M5A99X EVO R2.0. Should i get a better processor, seeing there are some 8 core FX processors out there, or could I stick with the one I have? I don't have too much money at the moment, but I would like to effectively render on average 60 fps at least with the rx580 using a Steam Link device on my tv. Not able to do anything with it really using my gtx 960 card. Any suggestions please? I can't really afford an entire new build, so I'm hoping that the CPU I have will mostly work, or I could just get a better CPU to pair with my MOBO.
