  1. This is pretty late, but yeah, I did that, too. Turns out, it was the power supply after all. It works flawlessly now. I got a 700W from EVGA and have had no issues so far.
  2. This is not in the right channel. My bad. Firstly, I want to start off by listing my specs. I'm thinking about buying a new PSU, but I'll get to the deets in a bit. I'm going here because I don't want to waste money, just in case it's not what I think it is, but at the same time, I don't know if my 520W can handle this stuff. CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO Graphics Card: GTX 1080, Blower-Style Cooler from PNY RAM: 2x 8GB DDR4 "T-FORCE" at 2400MHz Motherboard: Micro ATX, ASROCK B450M Steel Legend HDD: 1TB WD Blue at 7.2k RPM Had an M.2 SSD, but that got bricked...? Great. Not in the system anymore. PSU: Seasonic 520W Also have VR. I don't know if VR consumes more power, but it probably does, due to needing to drive dual displays at 90Hz. VR works "perfectly." There are black-screens whenever the system is under sustained load. If I load into an area in VR, the system goes kaput and restarts. If the system itself goes under sustained load when playing games, stress tests, etc. it restarts as well, and by restart, I mean it's back to the POST screen. Event Viewer says the system shutdown wasn't expected, and no other info is present. I down-clocked the CPU to it's base clock, because somehow it's overclocked by default in the BIOS? I down-clocked the GPU by -175 on the clock and -100 on the memory. Doesn't black-screen while I'm playing PC games anymore, considering that I lower the settings a bit. I figured this would reduce power consumption if it is a PSU issue. VR games still have the same effect, where it goes black. The default VRChat home works fine, but loading into any other world, and it's back to the POST screen. Loading into Phasmophobia boots it back to the POST screen as well. Same with Blade and Sorcery. As long as I'm not playing, or doing, anything demanding, the system can run as long as I want it to. Mixed reality home is fine. I think it's the power supply, and that it's been running close to max for longer than it can handle, considering that the components in there may be a bit power-hungry. Update: I looked up the minimum PSU requirements for a GTX 1080 and it was 500W. Time to get a new power supply. It's arriving in 5 days, so I'll come back with an update then. I'm leaving this here in case someone else has an issue with this sort of thing.
  3. I can't find any and I don't know what to look for. If there is anyone that could help out that would be great! Computer dimensions are (WxD) 8.07" x 18.27". The computer is about 20-25 lbs. I would love to get the computer off my desk while still showing it off. Thanks!
  4. Alright, thanks! I wasn't sure if it was something to get out, And now I know not to take it out. Thanks for your support, everyone.
  5. Hello, I'm building my PC for my first time & my new case, the Focus G Mini from Fractal Design had a standoff in one of the holes when I opened it up. I got it out (easy), but I'm wondering, there is a tiny screw in the standoff, and I have no clue as how to get it out. Here's a picture with another standoff for comparison:
  6. I just did the math and for me to mow lawns for 3 lawns a day for $15 on weekends, I would get $720 after the last mow on June 4 if I dont sell anything. If I worked for 13 days and I did sell the perler beads, people magnet to those, I would get $731, just enough money to spend on the PC & a few games. If I only mowed on weekends, I would be done by May 27. Then I would probably get all the parts by mayyybe the middle of June. If it won't come in by the time we're done with vacation, we will wait. When it is in, probably in the night, building, testing & getting set up would take most of the day. Then, I will be free to play some games!
  7. Yeah, $30 is way expensive. 15 is good. And I am selling some perler bead sprites and mayyyybe some figures, but I don't know. Some have sentimental value, so I might just sell the ones I don't want. Thanks! I'm 14 by the way, so I can't invest in stocks or get a minimum wage job. I wish, though.
  8. I'm 14. State: Pennsylvania Watched them both. Thanks, though!
  9. Just sunday, I worked for 5 hours doing whatever I can. Earned $30+ the 25 bucks I already have. Since spring break, 6 days off, is near, I was thinking about mowing lawns for $30 a piece. There's a well sized neighborhood filled with old folks & families with kids a minute away. Is there anything else I could do, like washing cars? Leave your suggestions & how much I should charge. After I build the PC, I want to play some games for most to half of the summer. (There's also a garage sale in May/June that I am planning for selling perler bead sprites for $2-15 a piece depending on size.) Thank you for the support in advance!
  10. Thanks for the support. I'll go with the RX 480 or 470, sure. I didn't think to get a cheaper motherboard. Forgot to add this: I think I'll save up more (Besides monitor and peripherals) to get games on the Steam Summer Sale. The intensive games I'm planning to play (Because Just Cause 2 is not intensive AT ALL): GTA V (Have it) Wishlist: Shadow of Mordor (Looks neat) Rise of The Tomb Raider (Please) Aragami (Here's the link, pretty cool http://store.steampowered.com/app/280160/) Considering Hitman Again, Thanks guys. Any other recommendations would be sweet, just in case some other people are doing research and stumble upon this post.
