JdogBaconMan's Achievements

  1. I've used Corsair and Logitech keyboards in the past, and right now I'm using the Razer Blackwidow v2. It has both a headphone and USB port, RGB, clicky green switches (that you can change) and 5 dedicated Macro buttons.
  2. The only choice I have is to get TV+ internet, so I pay more than 100 bucks a month, Which is ridiculous.
  3. I got a little jealous after I saw some LTT users with gigabit Ethernet. ?
  4. Hi! I have a question. Is there any way I can increase my Ethernet speed myself or so I just have to pay my ISP more? Right now I am paying for 25 mb/s down but almost everywhere in my house I get around 60 mb/s down on WiFi and around 90 mb/ down on Ethernet. I really want to increase my ethernet speed to 150-200 mb/s, as I frequently download huge games and files, but am wondering if I should just buy some cat 6/7 cables and upgrade my Modem/router, or if my only choice is to pay my ISP even more money. I got into PC gaming about 2 years ago and never really cared about my internet speeds before then. (I never used Ethernet before I got my PC), so I’m totally a noob at all networking/internet stuff. Thanks for the help!
  5. I updated my signature and system build.
  6. Hello everyone! I built my PC in mid 2016 (i7-6700k, ASUS 1080, 32 gigs DDR4) and Windows 10 is booting very slowly, almost 30 seconds. I have a Samsung 850 EVO with 500 gigabytes, and about 250 gigs free, with the rest filled with Windows programs and stuff like Chrome and Discord. I have disabled almost every thing from the start up menu, and consistently uninstall unnecessary programs from the SSD. I put the majority of my programs and games on my 2 terabyte WD Black hdd. Are there any tips or ticks to help Windows boot faster? I was thinking about getting a super small M.2 and put windows on there, but I’d rather stick with my current hardware. Thanks!
  7. Thanks, I was thinking I would do some light gaming on it but I guess iGPU would be fine for that
  8. It seems overkill but he is a doctor running multiple intensive programs at once. I also want to do light gaming when I go to his house. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JdogBaconMan/saved/BQmHxr
  9. Hi. I am building my grandpa his first PC (he always uses macs) and I was wondering what graphics card to put in it. I go to his house a lot and his machine can barely run Minecraft, so I figured he needed an upgrade. While I doubt he is doing any gaming, he watches movies frequently on his computer and is a doctor so he needs to view very high quality images and has two monitors, so I figured he may need an upgrade from the Intel Graphics. I was going to put a 1050ti in it, but that is too expensive for his budget so I was thinking about a 1030? 1030s are a lot cheaper than any 1050 (950, 750, etc) and jhas about the same specs as a 1050, but does he need a GPU at all? If so, what is a super cheap but good GPU? Thanks! https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JdogBaconMan/saved/BQmHxr
  10. Hey guys, I wondering about upgrading my 1070 to a 1080 ti soon, but I'm wondering if it's worth it. I will not be running anything 4K, nor will I be playing any VR games, but I have 2 nice 1080p monitors that run at a low FPS when being used together, and hopefully that will be fixed. My main purpose in getting this 1080ti is to run games like GTA V and Arma 3 at high/ultra. Is it worth a 1080ti without using 4k? Thanks! (Edit: I would sell my 1070, so a 1080ti would cost about 400$)
