  1. The VF-390 Nacelle is a massive full carbon fiber fan that is designed for small aircraft... but can it cool a computer? Check out Vasy Fan: https://www.vasyfan.com/ https://youtube.com/@vasyx1. Check out Masina Electrica, who designed the motor and controller: https://www.masinaelectrica.com/ https://youtube.com/@iulian207 Buy an Intel Core i9-11900K CPU: https://geni.us/JAAs Buy an ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 Super Graphics Card: https://geni.us/HOWV34I Purchases made through some store links may provide some compensation to Linus Media Group.
  2. After months of nearly daily emails we're going to review the Viture One XR Glasses.. but I'm not sure Viture is going to get exactly what they wanted.
  3. While in Taiwan for Computex, linus decided it was the perfect time to check in on his investment in Framework in person. It’s factory tour time, baby!
  4. I'm personally a Dyson fan, but would never buy one of their vacuums full price. Got a V6 for 200CAD about 5 years ago and it has been great. Battery lasted about 4 years, then when that died I got the Dyson to M18 adapter and it works even better than new. Don't know if there would be an aftermarket like that for another brand 9 years after the vacuum first got released.
  5. Hard to say. Feel like there are a couple more videos featuring the industrial chiller before we get bored of it, hard to compete with the reliability of that thing
  6. Remember this is a PC for a Minecraft youtuber with questionable technical abilities. I'd personally love something like that.. but making sure it works consistently for someone across the continent is another thing all together. Same goes for the 5600MT/s RAM, I just downclocked it a scootch to ensure the PC never crashes.
  7. As far as money explicitly spent on the computer goes, we were very slightly under budget. Once you consider it took ~2 months for Tim to design the desk, assembly time and crating it for shipping we went waaaaaay over budget. Given I've never seen an engineering firm with a charge out rate for labour below $100/h..... Karl got an exceptional deal.
  8. The Apex Storage X21 is an absolutely wild AIC that allows you to connect twenty one SSDs to a single PCIe slot... and it is very fast. Thanks again to Sabrent for sending us all those SSDs! Check them out at https://sabrent.com/ Check out the Apex Storage X21 NVMe AIC: https://lmg.gg/OFxJ9 Buy a Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus 8TB NVMe M.2 SSD: https://geni.us/O10iXs Buy a Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 AIC Adaptor: https://geni.us/SRGL9j Purchases made through some store links may provide some compensation to Linus Media Group.
  9. Nope, but we have just begun working on it again so 2023 will likely be the year it gets finished haha
  10. I honestly have no clue. I've had a bunch of trouble getting it to seat correctly and don't have a solution besides just remounting it a bunch of times until it works.
  11. Well yeah.. this is what we learned in this video. I was able to get the card to draw crazy amounts of power off screen, but there was literally no point since I couldn't make the card go any faster than it was at 580W. Clearly the GPU itself just isn't happy going much over 3GHz no matter what you do to it. Also settings were maxed out @ 1440P, RT Highest
  12. Nvidia have removed software voltage control from their newer GPUs... but we can get it back! Discuss on the forum: Buy an ASUS ROG Strix GeForece RTX 4090 OC Edition GPU: https://geni.us/BDqVW Buy an EKWB EK-Quantum Vector 2 FE RTX 4090 GPU Cooling Block: https://geni.us/FmEEz Check out the ElmorLabs EVC2SE Voltage Control Board: https://lmg.gg/CvThC Purchases made through some store links may provide some compensation to Linus Media Group.
  13. Plan was to hoop up 3 super high powered systems to test their 2000W cooling claims, but the filling went so terribly and took so long we just gave up on that
  14. We wanted to test the Bykski External Cooler, but instead it tested our patience.
  15. Nvidia's RTX 4070 is a complicated card.. on one hand it is the best value we've seen in years, but on the other everyone is still mad.
  16. There was an update on the WAN show a couple weeks later and I created this post for bug reporting. The problem we found was just one of many, and the problems are different on every device. For instance I've never had the unplugged not sleeping problem on my HP Elite Dragonfly, but I've had the Modern Standby bug due to issues with the Intel Audio driver. Adding S3 sleep back in isn't simple because then you have to trust the hardware vendors to fix problems and update firmware.. something that they aren't necessarily good at.
  17. Mouse reviewer RandomFrankP just released a mouse. Obviously he can't test it, so instead he gets the sphincter tightening experience of watching us review it. 18. EK just released a direct die cooler for LGA 1700 CPUs. Will we finally be able to tame the i9-13900K, and will it survive the day at all? Buy an Intel Core i9 13900K Processor: https://geni.us/tqwraq Check out the EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity² Direct Die D-RGB 1700 Nickel + Plexi: https://lmg.gg/e4Uvr Purchases made through some store links may provide some compensation to Linus Media Group.
  19. Just start increasing memory and clock speeds on the GPU, see where it starts crashing. Haven't used Ryzen Master, but same basic thing. Increase core ratio on the CPU until you get a bluescreen, then turn it back a bit
  20. Remember that 3DMark is largely used by overclockers and is in no way representative of normal people's computers. The average there is more like the "average maximum achievable overclock with water cooling" for given hardware, not how fast your typical air cooled 5700x + 6750xt goes. Just look at the score relative to what you started at, if you can make it 5-10% faster with minimal power gain then happy times.
  21. It is nearly impossible to cool Intel’s 13th gen CPUs.. so we got a 5000W industrial chiller. Check out the Thermo Scientific NESLab ThermoFlex 5000 Chiller: https://lmg.gg/7IIR9 Purchases made through some store links may provide some compensation to Linus Media Group.
  22. On paper the Sony PlayStation VR2 has specs that exceed a top of the line PC VR headset.. for half the price.
  23. This is awesome, I can't believe the problem was actually terrible VRM cooling hahahaha
  24. Thanks OriginPC for sponsoring today's video! Check out the Millenium Gaming PC OriginPC Sent us: https://bit.ly/3iOSw5o Origin PC sent us a beautiful PC to use in a sponsored video.. sadly it arrived at the same time as the worst stuff we could find on eBay.
