  1. Well what else do you recommend? there are only 2 main-stream storage devices today. Cloud is expensive af How long is this?
  2. I just learned the hard way that it is not safe to backup data into HDD in my previous thread. So i was wondering is SSD a good option for backup? meaning is it safe if i don't power it regularly i.e put my data into it and leave it as it were a cardboard box? Because i've heard that SSD is sensitive to temperature and that the firmware will get corrupted if not used for long periods of time. Can't afford cloud storage atm.
  3. There is intrumental Lo-Fi tho, but that bass could be distracting
  4. I've seen a lot of educational videos on YouTube including our beloved TechQuickie. I noticed that their videos doesn't have any background music which seems fine to me, and then there are other educational channel who use background music for their videos and sometimes i found it kinda distracting because unlike say Kurkezagt, they use animation and sound effect to explain the entire thing and the music they choose fit the theme. So if your type of video is similar to TechQuickie, would it be better to use music or not?
  5. Alright then, thanks again ^^ RRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  6. @FakeKGB Thanks for the help though Any software recommendations? maybe one that you've experienced before?
  7. Nothing, and it doesn't have the option to repair either. Guess i'll just have to try bunch of recovery software and see if some of them can recover my data.
  8. No luck, turns out the file is in ZIP format not RAR but its on the RAR category on the software. I've also tried zip repair software but no luck. So far i only able to recover 4 7zip files in perfect conditions. What do you think? Is there any possible solution?
  9. Yes but only pictures, most of the RAR and 7Zip/Zip files are damaged/corrupted when i try to open them.
  10. Yes as i said in point no.2, but that's turn out to be not the issue anymore as i can explore the drive using 3rd party software and it only shows like 10% of the content and bunch of CHKDSK files (FOUND folder).
  11. It shows this but it cannot be accessed/access denied (DISK I:)
  12. Perhaps, but i just.. i don't know..maybe i can save some of the data.. (T^T)
  13. CAUTION. But last month, it says CAUTION but it still work just fine.
  14. I'd start from the beginning, so i have a 80GB of WD HDD and it contains bunch of important data which i compressed it into RAR format (big size). I connect it using single HDD Dock from ORICO to my laptop. Everything works fine, until i disconnected it and re-connect it again and all of a sudden, the file system becomes RAW and when i try to access it, an error message pop up saying " I: is not accessible". I freaked out, but i manage to keep my composure and look for a solution. 1. I did CHKDSK /f /r command but it didn't work because my laptop won't scan the disk even on-reboot. Tried it manually via right click -> properties on the partition but it says it can't access/read the drive 2. So i tried 3rd party software which is MiniTool partition wizard, on their website it says if the hard drive is detected as "NTFS" but is not accessible, then i should use the "check file system" feature (pic below) in which i did and the process went fine with no error, and when i try to look the drive on the explorer, the capacity and free-space read correctly as it used to be, EXCEPT when i try to access it, it says access denied. So i did the administration thingy via security option and i still get the same error. and after that, the caacity and free-space change from 1GB LEFT to 73.7GB LEFT. CONTINUE~ 3. I tried the partition recovery feature but it didn't detect any deleted/previous partition. 4. Then i use the data recovery option, it did detect some of the files but as RAW files, and when its done, it only detect 2 RAR files (small size) while it should be detect 10+ (BIG Sized) RAR files. Strangely, it detect a bunch of BIG sized (1 - 3.5GB+) SWF files which is strange because i don't have any SWF files. So i did my research and turns out, MiniTool got a bad reputation among expert, it can't read the files and some suggest that those SWF files are just garbage tho idk what they mean by that. 5. I did more research and they said that i should use R-STUDIO Data Recovery software and i DID. But, it kinda give the same results which is bunch of RAW files, but it did detected more RAR and ZIP files although its not enough and i haven't try to recover it yet cuz the Recovery status says "UNDERTERMINED" So, please guys, those data are very important to me, its a complication of old videos and pictures of my parents from the day they met, me and the most important person in my life which is my little sister (she's 10 now) I know, i am stupid, i should have upload them to the CLOUD but i just..i have no excuse.. i am so frustrated right now. Please i am willing to pay but, i don't have that much money right now since i just got an accident 6 month ago, broke my femur and i am financially struggling rn. Please, anyone? (T^T)
  15. That's a long time ago, i am sure/not sure.. hell idk but i have a feeling that you'll be fine with cheap mobo nowadays although i won't be getting the cheapest let alone from chinese brand like MaxSun or any brand that i never heard of.
  16. What about the stability and reliability? does cheaper RAM Chip (i don't know the name/type of memory used in RAM perhaps you can tell me) could result in..as i said poor stability and reliability?
  17. Hmm, reading the response i guess i need to be more specific. What i am trying to say is, which component that i could spend less money on but won't affect performance that much and safety/reliability
  18. Well i am well aware of that, the thing is i don't have enough budget to buy "decent" component and believe me, i've looked everywhere and the only option i can cheap out is the Memory or the Motherboard. So i was just looking for some insights. Maybe there's something i miss/don't know.

    MX-2 vs MX-4?

You should be fine Source:https://panoramacircle.com/2018/08/07/arctic-mx-2-vs-mx-4-thermal-paste-bonus-passive-cooling-and-heating-coffee/#:~:text=Arctic MX-2 feels quite,of the paste spills over.&text=The Arctic paste did better,MX-4 under high load.
  20. Ok so between Motherboard, PSU, RAM, GPU, and CPU. Motherboard is the safest?
  21. While case is important i know, but its not..you know..a part that made a computer a computer. For me core component is, if you're lacking in one of em say the Power Supply, then you cannot build a computer.
