  1. I suppose this is solved then, thanks! (https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/821773-rx-vega-56-64-are-here-are-they-hot-or-not/) Though the link probably needs updating was this because the episode was pushed to public because of the end of NDA?

  3. I thought I would take a look at linked the forum page for the video and get a error page that I am not a member of Floatplane Club (code is 2F173/H). Which is right, but the video has been up since nearly a month ago, so shouldn't the forum page for it be accessible?
  4. Missed this one when recapping missed shows, as not in the playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8mG-RkN2uTw7PhlnAr4pZZz2QubIbujH Sorry for necroposting (couldn't find anything about that in the community standards...)
  5. Do you know why the blue lights on the SMD's are immune, do they use a different semiconductor?
  6. According the retailer & the manufacturer the keyboard can only be refunded not repaired as they no longer stock it So now to return or repair...
  7. Well according to LTT, what coil whine sounds like (@1:58 in): and video on it from my experience with other electronics fiddling with the power delivery can help but you are usually stuck with it. In the case of GPUs I think it has been known to happen with runaway FPS (no vsync etc).
  8. On medium scale production lines they often have equipment on standby so if the robot does fail a worker or two can take over - large scale lines may have more robots for failover. Until the robots can build and maintain the robots humans will still have jobs somewhere... Also robots are currently only replacing workers where it is cost effective to replace humans (repetitive tasks etc), the high setup cost will stop most small businesses from using them. Still human work on relatively simple jobs though - look at the tills in budget supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl where the humans basically work as intelligent robots
  9. This I have been meaning to ask for a while, just been busy... Around October last year I bought a on-offer new Ryos MK Pro Cherry MX Black. Its great as I can assign short-cuts for advanced applications (and games), and works well with my typing (learnt on ancient membrane keyboard which actually require more force to press than a MX Black does...) However, after a few months (say later November), I noticed after using the computer after a period of not being used, the M key LED was broken and the N key very faint (now pretty much dead). Photo attached (probably, first post ) Considering its kept on a clear desk in a usually locked room, I can't say what damage there could be other than faulty components/soldering, I doubt anything has been dropped on it. I have been contemplating whether I should I return it to the manufacturer, retailer (probably SCAN), or fix it myself (I am fairly competent at electronics and soldering, to the degree I have modified high wattage power supplies, but am concerned at repairing a probably delicate item that normally retails at quite a high price...) - in which case is a guide such as this https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Roccat+Ryos+MK+Glow+key+led+and+key+switch+Replacement/66023
