  1. I can't "be like that" but when I'm the one making a thread for help with OVERCLOCKING I get a ton of people telling me that AMD is better and that I should've bought that instead? Haha!
  2. Just got done overclocking this beast of a CPU thanks to @done12many2 the overclocking GOD. I'm currently chilling on a conservative 4.4Ghz @ 1.1v and I'm loving it! Gaming is a piece of cake for this CPU! All you AMD boys can eat it as this platform is the future. Get in line Thanks again, @done12many2. You are the realm MVP. God.
  3. I just saw a guide on youtube. He has a "safe" option for 4.4ghz @ 1.2v and AVX on auto. Would you reccomend this for a "chill" OC?
  4. What numbers would I start at for like 4.2ghz? As I don't want to go all out hahah
  5. It cannot be that bad dude. There is alot of people who love their X299 builds and I'm going to be that way aswell as soon as I learn a bit about overclocking.
  6. Okay. I dont really understand that XMP stuff so I just told my 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance LED to run at 3200mhz cause they were not from factory for some reason.
  7. But why would people use "XMP" when you can just choose a speed (that the card can have)?
  8. Thats awesome. Also do you know just fast before I fry my RAM. Setting just frequency to 3200mhz is ok right? As its rated for that.
  9. Btw. My RAM is supposed to run at 3200mhz but it was running at 2166. In BIOS I just set the frequency to 3200mhz. It isnt anything wrong with that right?
  10. just felt like going backwards to buy something old if you get me
  11. Yeah, I heard that aswell. Thing is when I used the "Ez-Tune" and got 4.27Ghz i was chilling at like 40-45C when gaming which is nothing
  12. Kinda want to try out this platform as I'm sure there will be a way to get good power out of this chip. I'm just unexperienced. I wouldnt know where to search for OC guides as I've never been a "overclocker"
