Push the broken pins out of that plastic thing, take a deep breath and solder them back on. Since as you wrote, you have little experience in soldering, i suggest you practice a bit first. Solder two random wires together. If you are VERY unsure of your own skills, just take it to your local computer shop. They might fix it for you.

Hi, I need a new monitor. The one I own now is slowly dying. My budget is 100-125$. Im into amator computer graphics, so i want a good (for the price) color space and color accuarcy. My desired resolution and refresh rate are 1080p@60hz though a higher refresh rate is welcome (it's not a priority). I'm not sure whether a 100$ IPS panel will be as good or better than a similarly priced TN panel. I've come here for help, because the amount of monitors on the market is so big, i don't know what to look for.
