  1. Push the broken pins out of that plastic thing, take a deep breath and solder them back on. Since as you wrote, you have little experience in soldering, i suggest you practice a bit first. Solder two random wires together. If you are VERY unsure of your own skills, just take it to your local computer shop. They might fix it for you.
  2. Hi, I need a new monitor. The one I own now is slowly dying. My budget is 100-125$. Im into amator computer graphics, so i want a good (for the price) color space and color accuarcy. My desired resolution and refresh rate are 1080p@60hz though a higher refresh rate is welcome (it's not a priority). I'm not sure whether a 100$ IPS panel will be as good or better than a similarly priced TN panel. I've come here for help, because the amount of monitors on the market is so big, i don't know what to look for.

    Cheap earphones

I need a cheap par of earphones. I live in Poland, though shipping from the UK is acceptable. The most i can spend is around 5$.
  4. Intel XTU software will show you when you are thermal throttling.
  5. You can download HWmonitor or CPU-Z, you can also download the intel Xtreme tuning utility. It has some nice graphs that clearly show if you are thermal throttling.
  6. Thermal throttling? What are your temps in the summer vs in the winter?

    Color calibration

Oh... i forgot about that windows feature, thanks
  8. Hi, i'm a noob at monitor calibration. How do i tune my monitor to display colors as accuratly as possible? I own an HP w2207.
  9. Only after a BIOS update. Only Z270 boards are compatible with 7th generation intel CPU's from the factory
  10. Maybe they did, i don't know. You don't know when that mobo went off the production line. It may still have the old BIOS
  11. Then maybe a good friend can lend you a skylake chip?
  12. Will the cost of buying the cheapest skylake CPU + your desired Z170 mobo be higher than the cost of a Z270 board?
