Hi, I'm currently trying to build a dual Xeon workstation. With all the help that I have got from here, I have been able to source the right parts. I have finally got 2 Xeon X5570 Processors. Intel S5520SC workstation motherboard (I know its basic but I'm not looking to over clock), 24Gigs of RAM, 750W PSU, Asus 1050Ti. My current issue is with drivers. I'm running windows 10 and it will not recognize my GPU or my onboard sound card. I have installed the following drivers from intel's website.( https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/36600/Intel-Workstation-Board-S5520SC) Intel® 5500/5520/3400 Chipset Driver for Windows Audio driver for Microsoft Windows I have no idea what to do. Hi, I am building a dual Xeon work station from old parts; trying to keep the budget low. I will be using two X5570 Xeon processors with an Intel S5530SC motherboard. 24Gigs of Ram. Asus GTX 1050Ti ( uses a 6 pin power connector ) 1X pci USB 3.0 Card 2 X 90mm Fans. A pci wifi card. 2 X 7500 RPM Mechanical HDDs. 1 X Optical Drive (Optional) I am looking for an inexpensive (but reliable) power supply. Since I want to keep the budget low. I have a cooler master rs-500-pcar-e3 power supply but it has only one 8 pin CPU connector. I looked online and found a Y Splitter that converts single 8 Pin CPU connector to a Dual 8 Pin CPU connector. https://www.amazon.com/Motherboard-Supply-Y-Splitter-Adapter-Sleeved/dp/B0094PBKN8 Are these any good? or should i just get a new PSU. Plan - Make an inexpensive PC Direction - Xeon 5650 OR Xeon 5670 Issue - Is there a difference between Lga1366 and FClga1366 motherboard? Fear - Do not want to buy incompatible parts. Need - Help and suggestions on which motherboard would work with above-mentioned processors. Thanks.
