Evga rtx 2080 ti is not holding a consistent clock speed

Well I used the curve settings, was able to stabilize my oc at a low of 2025 but avg of 2040 which works for me for now.

Yeah it's about maxed out lol.

Evga rtx 2080 ti is not holding a consistent clock speed

I've been messing the the curve as you said. O found I can overclock it +150 at Lower voltages and +120 at high voltages. It appears as though the issues is clock speed.

Evga rtx 2080 ti is not holding a consistent clock speed

It's my only hobby man, I just fiddle with pcs and parts, not that I want that extra 5 fps, I just like pushing it as far as I can without toasting it.

How are you getting the voltage that high? I think I've got the same problem. But it seems voltage control on afterburner doesn't do anything.

Evga rtx 2080 ti is not holding a consistent clock speed

Well I'm pretty disappointed. Cant believe how poorly mine overclocks. Really I dont think overclocking even matters on these cards. It boost to what ever it wants to anyway it seems.

Evga rtx 2080 ti is not holding a consistent clock speed

Really? Well that sucks. My old gtx 1080 ti that I sold could hold steady at 2065 mhz. Never changed clock speed. I do see voltage ramping down to 980 mv from 1015 a lot. That would make sense.
  9. So I have my Evga 2080 ti xc ultra overclocked to 120 mhz. My GPU will hit 2100 mhz but start to down clock until it hits 1935 mhz. It mostly bounces around and for the most part stays between 2025 and 2055 mhz. Power limit is set to 130%. Any idea why the clock speed is moving around so much? I've got it on a ek water block, never going above 60c. Other specs. I7 8700k 4.9 ghz Custom loop with 360mm rad Evga 850 watt psu 32 GB 3866 ram

    Good GTX 970 OC?

I've always done +50 on core clock and +400 on memory for the 3 I've overclocked. Normally hit around 1500 mhz on core clock

Rtx 2080 ti overclocking and cables

Well with my old gtx 1080ti I used only one cabe for a better appearance/cable management. The 1080 ti worked fine at 150 oc, normally was hitting 2085 mhz on it. Didn't realize this card need so much more power. Have a 850w evga gold psu. Also, that's why I made this post. To inform anyone else that this card needs 2 cables, not complaining. Just needs to be said.

Rtx 2080 ti overclocking and cables

For anyone who plans on using this card or overclocking. Use 2 pci Express power cables! Piggybacking off one will limit your power and your frequency will not be stable. Ever since I got my card I could only overclock to +65 on the core and the boost clock jumped between 2070 and 1965 mhz. I plugged a separate pcie power cord in and now I'm hitting +120 mhz and a stable boost clock of 2100 to 2085.

RTX 2080 Ti Failing Too Early

Well my rtx 2080 ti is still running. Just hope evga doesn't want to remove my warranty due to the ek waterblock I installed.
