  1. Okay, lets start at the top here: Do you have a buget? Also, what country are you in? This can effect availability of certain hardware Edit: One more thing, do you have an aestetic you are going for?
  2. No, I find hypocrisy funny. I also never said none of those brands had PSU models that wheren't great to go with. Some models are better then others.
  3. Okay..... You literally just said not to do that!
  4. Find out if there is something on your system you don't want/need and get rid of it first. Or, give your system more storage.
  5. It really shouldn't be hard to swap it. I'd suggest checking the size requirements of your case, then look for something from Corsair, EVGA, or SeaSonic as a main preference. Cooler Master and be quiet! are good alternatives too.
  6. I would highly suggest going with the higher clocked RAM, yes.
  7. No one else discided to make white mATX boards as they aren't that common and white is a difficult color to match up. I do not believe they have been discontinued though.
  8. The Mortar Titanium and Mortar Arctic are the only two out there really.... There are some black and white boards, but they are primarily black.
  9. A couple things: 1) Welcome to the PC Master race!!! Jk 2) All existing AM4 motherboards will be compatible, more then likely will need a BIOS update (I believe you will need a presently compatilbe CPU for that. In that case, I'd get something cheep to use for the time being.) 3) AIOs like the H60 are not necicerally bad. However, there will be a bump in thermals if you go with something more substantial like a 240 or 280mm AIO. 4) Ryzen's infinity fabric has some latency that is directly linked to the speed at which the RAM is running, making higher clocked RAM a major performance boost. 5) You shouldn't need the Arctic Silver as the cooler should have some thermal paste pre-applied. Feel free to let me know if there's any confusion.
  10. Actually not a stupid question as there are people out there who will forget to remove it.
  11. I'd remount the cooler with some fresh thermal paste just to be sure. If you're unsure of how much to use, Gamer's Nexus made an entire video going over the best application methods for TR4.
  12. That is a very vague question. Like whta @Semper said, it's based on what you want/need. If you have a high budget, and will actually utilize all those extra threads, then the i7 will be better. If you want the latest and shiniest shit, (that's certainly some people's thing) then the i5 may be the better way to go. Now, down to price/performance.... the i5 is cheeper, and they do perform on par with one another (see link below).... However, a Z series chipset is gonna cost you more just to get your OC then a H or B series that will to run the i7. In the end, it's entirely relitive to: 1) What are your priorities? 2) What is your budget? 3) What do you plan to do with the system? 4) (like @m9x3mos said) Do you plan to OC? https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-8700-vs-Intel-Core-i5-9600K/3940vs4031
  13. Yeah, you should be perfectly fine. Lots of positive pressure, but that simply means you're making those air filters do their job. Make sure you clean them out every 1-3 months, depending on how dusty the environment is(keep an eye on them to see how often they are getting dirty, giving the interior a spray with a can of air a few times a year is an awesome way to take care of it).
  14. Okay, have you OC the system, and if so have you checked for system stability? If that is not the case, then I'd run a virus/malware scan, just to be safe. If you really wanna be sure with that, boot into safe mode first before running the scan. If something pops up, it's easier to get rid of in safe mode. If you've updated a driver before it started crashing, it could be a buggy driver, in which case, I'd look into rolling back the driver or using a restore point. If you didn't, look into making sure nothing needs to be updated. If worst comes to worst, backup any critical data, and do a clean install.
  15. You should be perfectly fine. You'll be going for more of a very positive air pressure system, but that's not a bad thing. You can flip the fans around, if you'd like to see dem sexy RGB goodness a bit better, especially if you have other intake fans bringing in that nice cool air. Otherwise, if you have a fan or two pulling hot air out of the system, you're good.
  16. The question then is what games are they playing, and do they scale well with SLI? Some scale well, while others don't, and some scale negatively. They'd have to look up how the games he plays scales with SLI.
  17. RTX just isn't worth it right now. For 1440p60, 1070 is min what I would go for(1060 6GB wouldn't be up to the task in some games), and it performs on par with the 980ti. A 1080, or even a 1070ti should be reaching those high framerates in most, if not all games.
  18. You aren't the only one. Luckily, they don't care what I use on my personal laptop. It's Windows 10, and I only use Chrome, cause I like it. Anywho, I've got Anaconda on here along with Python 3.7 straight from Python's website, so I can use them more directly if I so choose. I've heard notepad++ is a good application to have for writing code in HTML, so I may get that as well.
  19. Actually, that's something they would consider to be breach of contract by me breaking the electronic use policy, and revoke my ability so sign into the domain on the school's computers, and lock me out of the WiFi on my personal devices, then write me up for it, screwing me out of being able to go into the advanced training program (MCSA and Linux+ is what it would get me that I know of). And yes, I've seen it happen to people. That's just how this place likes to react: shoot first, and don't ask questions 'cause no one cares about why.
  20. They are still stuck back in Windows 7, and they don't like other browsers being used because "they can be used to circumvent security protocols". Also, it's not exactly a traditional "school"... More of a federally funded job training program that also offers high school/GED, and yeah, I live on center.
  21. Unfortunately, school only wants to use Explorer, which isn't supported by Codecademy. I've used SoloLearn a bit on my phone, so I may stick with it at school and on my phone (unless Codecademy has an app on android) and Codecademy on my laptop.
  22. One of the reasons I'm learning these two specifically is because the program I'm in offers certifications for them, but not other languages.
  23. I've actually been playing with Anaconda on my laptop, and Repl.it while at school (not allowed to have an editor on the school's computers for whatever reason). It doesn't seem too difficult to comprehend.
  24. So, I'm trying to, more or less, self teach myself Python and HTML. Unfortunately, I have no prior coding history or knowledge. My instructor for the program I am in is dyslexic, and can't comprehend code and thusly can not help. So, I'm here to see if I can get any tips/tricks to learning these two languages, and any resources that can be helpful.
