  1. I guess I didn't look hard enough... Idk how I missed this. Thanks!!
  2. So I currently have a 3 triple (triple triple?) rad setup that is super overkill for my OC Vega 64 and Ryzen 5 2600x, but it is a collection of parts over a series of different builds. I recently purchased a ASRock RX7900XTX Phantom, and had assumed that there would be aftermarket water block support, but I am struggling to find anything for that model. I don't really need it, however it would be even more overkill, and significantly stupider to run 3 rads for just a 2600x lol. Does anyone know of available water blocks, or expected/anticipated releases that would be worth waiting for? Maybe any news from EKWB? Edit: And yes, I do plan on upgrading the rest of the setup, the gfx car I got a deal on. I have to plan out the rest of the upgrade as it would need new MB and RAM at the same time
  3. Ahh, I keep saying that one incorrect, my bad... My concern is the power codes I'm getting are MB related, less CPU related, hence the desire to upgrade both. A 08 power code on the MB I have is an indescript CPU power delivery issue, it could be the CPU, or the MB, but I don't have alternative KGPs to swap in to replicate the issue. My safer bet is to upgrade them both, utilize the bandwidth of the gen 4 M.2 I have, as well as having the option of more M.2s without a PCIE extension card. I guess this is stuff I could've expanded upon in the initial post, my apologies.
  4. I agree with the graphics issue. It sucks to hear it, but AMD has been struggling with these types of errors lately. Make sure you have the latest drivers. My Vega 64 was crashing constantly with Elden Ring until I did a completely clean windows install, similar to what you did. My error was usually "THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE", but it's a similar kernel error caused by the GPU. It seems mostly associated to driver issues
  5. Budget (including currency): $800-1000 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VS 2022 .Net desktop and web application writing. 2x 3440x1440p monitors. I game at 1440p ultra wide on a wide variety of games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm upgrading only the CPU and MB for now, I currently have a Crosshair VI Hero x270 MB with a EK monoblock and a Ryzen 5 2600x. I'm running a liquid cooled Vega 64 as my GPU, it seems to hold up to my gaming needs for ultra wide 1440p, but I have been having CPU power delivery issues with a 08 code crash occuring rather frequently. I've tried new power supplies, new power cables, less peripheral connections, I disabled the OC amongst other attempts. My best guess is it's a fault of my own when installing the monoblock, maybe not getting a thermal pad in the correct position on the VRMs and running a heavy OC (4.6GHz on my 2600x for about 1.5 years before the 08 code) I'm trying to find an x570 MB either with liquid cooling already integrated, or a CPU block with the combo, and a latest gen Ryzen that would be appropriate for the build, whether that's 5900x, 5950x, or some other model. Looking for any recommendations
  6. weird... it should let you enable it, I think that it doesn't register being plugged in unless it is enabled. For example, mine doesn't have anything plugged in, but is enabled. If for some reason the front port still doesn't respond, you may need to get the splitter to run off the rear IO
  7. It sounds like it does. It won't harm anything if you plug it in and it doesn't work, but it should hopefully work as long as that device I mentioned earlier is enabled
  8. hmm, if it is a single plug headset and your front IO supports it, I would plug into that and enable that device and it should work. Otherwise you would need a splitter for the rear port
  9. the one below the SPDIF OUT is your mic, but t looks like the device is just disabled. If you right click on the Linjeingang device in the Inspelning tab you can activate it and that should help
  10. Can you send a screenshot of your the audio devices available? If you are able to open the Sound Control Panel that would be easier to navigate and more helpful. The microphone on the back of MBs is almost always pink in color
  11. Are you using the correct device in the settings? I don't always trust Front I/O for their audio ports. Not every case manufacturer takes them seriously and uses good quality components. If you are not seeing the device as plugged in in the sound settings, then it might not be detecting the front I/O correctly
  12. So I was incorrect about my board, which explains why I thought/knew that it didn't support new gen. I actually have the Crosshair VI Hero x370 board
  13. I haven't looked it up in a long time, and it appears you may be correct... I was likely basing my info off of the below mentioned "original report"
  14. I am running an AMD Ryzen 5 2600x on an ASUS Crosshair VI Extreme X370 motherboard with a EKWB Monoblock, 16GB 3200MHz Corsair RAM, a Vega 64 reference board with an EKWB block, 1 double wide 360mm Thermaltake radiator, a 360mm EKWB SE radiator, a 460mm EKWB SE radiator, fluid being pumped by an EKWB D5 pump/res combo. The softlines are leftover from the variations that have lead to the collection of this many radiators, not the cleanest in that sense, and could benefit from some angled adapters, but I am seeing phenomenal temps. I am sure that there is a limit, and I have passed that in terms of actual cooling potential. However I am seeing temps roughly 3-4C cooler on the GPU, and 7-10C cooler on the CPU sitting at about 33C under load on the GPU and about 65C on the CPU with the CPU OC'd to 4GHz all cores. Also drawing about 500-520w on heavy games, read through a UPS the system is hooked up to, about 100w on idle. I do plan on upgrading the MB and getting a more basic CPU block instead of monoblock. My MB doesn't support aRGB so I don't have control over all of the RGB components, and I want to upgrade to 5th gen ryzen from 2nd gen. My X370 doesn't support 5th gen... EDIT: Woah boy, I have to make an update... I do not have the Crosshair VII x470, I have the Corsshair VI x370.. That was my own confusion
  15. Yes, the entire time it was never higher than 280-300mbps in the processes tab.
  16. I noticed this inconsistency on windows 11 version 21H2 build 22000.318 that I thought was quite interesting. I don't really know what would cause it, but windows 11's Task Manager seems to be inaccurately reporting download speeds between the performance tab, and the processes tab. Doesn't matter too much, and I guess Microsoft is aware, but an interesting issue nevertheless (all screenshots were taken within a couple minutes of eachother)
  17. this is how bad the old tubing is, so cleaning this would be better than new tubing? Also, what is plasticizer? I don't remember reading about that when I did the build Edit: all tubing and parts are EKWB, the tubing shouldn't have a plasticizer according to EKWB as of 2013.
  18. Thanks, I'll scrub the blocks and stuff down, tubing is cheap enough that I'll just replace it and save the headache. Just ordered some regular clear, hopefully this will work out better
  19. Ok, should just flush and get clear coolant then?
  20. Hello, I was playing games this morning and I noticed my EK pump was making more than normal noise, so I looked over at the LC system, that I flushed about 3 months ago with distilled and filled with EKs Solid Azure Blue cryo fuel, and noticed I have quite the issue. There seems to be some sort of growth on the tubing, and in the anti-vortex filter in the pump. I don't know what it is, it is not adhering to the nickel in the blocks, and only appears to be between the acetone and block materiel as it normally would be, but all the lines are coated. Should I replace lines and clean the rads? Am I able to clean the rads? Am I able to clean the lines? Apologies for repost, I posted this in LC but figured this would be more responsive.

  22. I'm having him reinstall windows, fresh from a new installation media. Hopefully that works, thanks for being a good sanity check and verification, I was pretty sure it was software, I'm not thinking straight with all that's happening lol
  23. That was my thought, I reinstalled windows once prior and ran the hardware post-psu failure on KGP to verify that the hardware was effected (which all but the MB and RAM seemed to be). The new hardware tested fine on the KGP setup I had tested prior, so the only thing I haven't done is a clean wipe and install of windows. Unfortunately the guy isn't the best with computers and doesn't know how to do that, so I'll recommend it (I cant go out, tested positive for the covid ) and give him a walkthrough link or something. I'm hoping that's all it would be
  24. Hello, I'm super confused on this one, which is rather abnormal when it comes to PC builds. One of my friends came and asked me to help him build a PC, I gave him a recommended just on PC part picker, he made some changes and ordered everything. Essentially it's a ryzen 9 3950x on an x570 asus board with 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz c16, an MSI 2080ti, 2 1 TB 970 pro NVME SSDs, and a silverstone 1000w 80+ platinum psu. I got a fresh install of windows 10 and booted it up, installed all the drivers, and it was good to go. A couple months have passed, and he started reporting some poor performance while playing COD MW warzone, so I went out to look at the PC check drivers and all that stuff, and the PSU was most definitely bad making some of the worst coil whine I'd ever heard. Got everything warrantied (gpu, cpu, psu) except the MB and RAM, and he still has absolutely terrible fps in games. My only other thought is that the MB or RAM are bad too, but idk if he can RMA the MB since it didn't exactly come new. He's getting frustrated in my ability to work on computers, when it's literally my job to do so and I have multiple machines running perfectly normal and one that is custom liquid cooled and is heavily over clocked. Anyone have any ideas as to what to try? I have my LC system that is an x370 so I could try troubleshooting in this, but it would be a hassle doing everything since I have a monoblock for VRM cooling, but it may be my last resort, just throw it all in my MB and test
