  1. After the nvidia employees went round the forums pretending to be helping but not doing anything or giving any answers on real questions I decided to pm peters@Nvidia and I explained myself to him quite clearly in my first post in a reasonable fashion only to get a reply that comes across as if it had been written by a bot covering it's ass ---- Hello, Are you having a specific issue with the 970 that I can help you with? We are really proud of the 970, we think it's the best card on the market for the money. It's won a ton of awards and it has the same excellent performance it had a few weeks ago. ----- Looking around reddit, Twitter and Google all the articles ( except a small group )are out in full force saying how nvidia are helping everyone and a boost fix is going to make things faster and it's just discusting tbh I just wanted to get that out there If deny one agrees or not I don't know but that's how I'm seeing it. Well they've lost a customer for good now. Hope they are happy.
  2. Just got off the phone with a Scan.co.uk employee who knew of the issue with the 970 and told me that they aren't doing anything unless you bought within 14 days which is their standard practice and nothing to do with this issue. I spoke to them about the false advertized specs that Nvidia had put out and said surely they'd have to allow people to return the card to which they guy told me it no. I then asked if they had spoke to Nvidia and the guy told me they had and assured me they had spoke to Nvidia who weren't doing any recalls and until something changes i wouldn't be able to return or upgrade.
  3. Got it all sorted in the end. Using stobelight at 120hz,, 80% less motion blur, looks fantastic. Thanks for the replies
  4. Thanks. Will it only work if i go over 120hz or is there a collective improvement ?
  5. I bought this monitor a while back on Amazon and i thought it was 120hz 2ms but now I'm wondering if it's the 144hz 1ms version or if BenQ have done some sort of update. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005XZBMTU/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 On the Amazon comments others have questioned if it's a 144hz monitor too which has just confused me even more tbh My mouse (m65) has a sensor to detect surface and ms and it's reading 1ms right now. I go into Nvidia control panel and this option comes set at 120hz with the option to go to 144hz - http://i.imgur.com/qgaglhm.png And this option comes set at 144hz and always goes back to 144hz if i try to change it - http://i.imgur.com/kYW8CUJ.png If i change the first option to 144hz could it damage my system anyhow? Has anyone else had any of these issues? I just don't want to damage anything as i turned it on the 144hz before but a while later my Gpu got stuck in a boot loop and I had to Rma it. I've sort of linked the change to the faulty Gpu and so i set the first option back on 120hz to be safe Would running the two options in two different hz affect my picture in a bad way or just lower the hz to 120? Specs Gtx 780sc acx i5 3570k
  6. If he does do a test he should also try it with the GTX 780SC ACX, Titans and the 780 ti's
  7. It seems to be an issue that everyone has a difference of opinon on, i wish linus would do a video on it because the i5 3570k/i5 4670k are popular cpu's and the 780's are coming into peoples price ranges now. Everyone always advises everyone else to get i5's and when somebody want's to sli everyone say's you need an i7, that's a bit of a pain tbh, they should tell them that an i7 may be needed if they want to sli in the future.
  8. Yea i get that you will always get a bottleneck somewhere, i just hoped that adding another Gpu with the i5 3570k would add more performance. Btw I love your picture.
  9. Good to know. I'm mainly looking now so at some future date when the Gpu is at a good price i can get it and get some nice performance
  10. I thought i might need a more powerful Cpu because when i play Cpu heavy games like Bf4 it might restrict me getting the most out of my Gpu/Gpu's
  11. I thought i already had headroom with the 750w as i've seen people using 600w power supplies for the same sort of builds.
