  1. The mic isnt backwards no. Thought that at first. Noise suppression is also disabled. The issue is only with Discord, using any other VC program the mic sounds great.
  2. So I have gotten a new Razer Seiren X mic for Christmas. Was excited to finally have a good sounding mic as apposed to using the one built into my headset. Plan is to now buy a headset without a mic. However all my friends who I talk with on Discord say my mic sounds very bad. So bad it's worse then the mic on my Stereo Razer Kraken headset. Playing back and recording my own voice it sounds flawless and really good. However playing it on Discord it sounds like I am in a cave, muffled and almost under water like. Does anyone know of any solutions and why Discord even does this? I played with so many settings and nothing appears to fix the issue. I even tried increasing the servers bitrate as maybe that has a factor but makes no difference.
  3. Thanks ill give them a call during business hours tomorrow. See what they say they can do.
  4. Hmm looking at the return system newegg has. They want me to pay for the return shipping label and they want 27 dollars for that. Almost what I paid for it since I got it half price. Does not even seem worth at all. Be better off trading it into a local store for a regular SSD and pay the difference.
  5. I purchased a 32GB optane memory for my girlfriends birthday not realizing these were a massive pain to get working. I installed it, installed the software for it. And then the laptop would no longer post. Couldnt get back into the BIOS. I had to take the entire laptop apart just to get at the battery and for whatever reason they put the battery behind the BM of the laptop... After CMOS resetting I managed to get it to boot again and windows started working. Now she has an ASUS G753VD ROG gaming laptop. But from what I gather it might just not be compatible with optane? I updated the BIOS to 306 but never saw any notes about it adding support. Is there any alternatives to getting this to work or should I just return it to newegg? Would really like to keep it if I can get it working, Windows picks it up just fine as a 32GB SSD but that kind of defeats the purpose of the module since it is so small in size.
  6. What id be doing though is completely formatting the drive first before the new installation.
  7. Hmm ok will do a re install of windows to start fresh since nothings on it anyhow yet. It came pre installed with an OEM version of Winodws 10. I assume can just grab his windows key inside windows and then install it using that key correct? Just don't want to re install and then he can't activate windows anymore. Or is there a better way of doing this?
  8. An SSD won't effect the problem at all. As for a fresh install maybe. But I don't see what that matters when it worked literally yesterday and nothings been changed. As for the laptop, that is what he wanted.
  9. So my friend bought a brand new laptop yesterday. It is an ASUS ROG gaming laptop with a 7700HQ CPU, 16GB of RAM, GTX 1050 4GB ver, with a 1TB HD. The issue is it now randomly after literally 1 day stutters incredibly bad during games. Overwatch for example now freezes randomly and after a while it completely turns off the display. Then he has to reboot the laptop to get video back. The thing is it was perfectly fine the day he got it. Just started doing this the next day when he started playing again. We have been checking his tempts. Nothing is out of the ordinary. It gets only as hot as 70c under full load which is pretty good for a laptop and no where near the danger zone for this sort of issue. We even under clocked it thinking maybe the factory overclock was the issue since it had a 100mhz OC. I am out of ideas as of right now because the entire situation makes no sense. It's not overheating, his frame rates seem fine getting a constant 120FPS until the random freezing happens. Drops to 15 and locks the screen and then shoots back up after 2-4 seconds of freezing. As of right now debating on if he should return it. If anyone knows a solution please help.
  10. I am not sure how it got to this but using DDU to completely reset my display drivers seems to have fully fixed the issue. Doing a fresh install of the latest driver afterwards and the problem is completely gone! Thanks this was somewhat annoying me for a while now. Cheers!
  11. I have tried disabling all the programs. Even booting into safe mode does not solve it. I'll have to try the video driver option. If not fixed ill update my BIOS and reset defaults. Didn't even think of that. Thanks. Will post again if it's fixed or not.
  12. So for whatever reason recently my monitor will no longer turn off the display and sleep after the assigned 10 minute timer like it used to. I have never seen this before and looked online for others with the same issue. Read that it can be a USB device triggering the never ending display cycle. But I tried even unplugging everything and still will no longer shut off. I have been manually turning off my monitor with the power button for weeks now. But sometimes I forget and realize a few hours later when I go back to my computer and realize it's been on this entire time. If anyone has any advice please let me know. I have even thought maybe the monitor itself was set to never turn off and I checked and that is set to 10 minutes also in the monitor settings. I am using a BenQ XL2730. The non ZOWIE version if that matters. Maybe I need to firmware update my monitor? I never did look into something like that. Included some screenshots below of the settings and nothing I do effects how it works.
  13. I am not sure if anyone remembers way back in the day you used to be able to setup an auto run menu for your flash drives. You can no longer do this on todays windows as the function has been disabled. I want to know if anyone knows of an alternative method to doing this again. I want to put videos on a flash drive and when it is inserted into the computer. It opens a menu and then you can select which video to play. And then it will auto use whichever your default video player you have assigned to play the video. And then once closed it brings back open the menu again to select a new video. Is this at all possible today?
  14. I was looking at the SC2. But didn't think the 40 more CAD was worth the 9 sensor feature that comes with it you be paying for.
  15. Well we are talking CAD here. So 400 CAD is pretty worth to me if I can get that. No idea what that is in USD, probably 300 wouldn't be surprised. CAD is terrible right now.
