Well done Linus, you made a stream that addressed the problems and you were honest. I will always respect people that do that. The video was good for what it was, but the problem we had with it was that you were implying that bixpy was great, when you have told us many times that you don't think it works well. I'm still a fan, and will be taking out floatplane membership soon, just please don't release stuff that contradicts what you think. -

Hi. Before you say it, I'm using usb 2... So I am installing freenas. Then I got this. Every time i try to install i get error 19 and a mountroot thing. Grrrr. Just upgraded the mobo and cpu to an hp Compaq socket 775 motherboard and an E6320 core 2 duo because of weird pcie errors... And because of the limitations of a sempron 3400+... tried reformatting. Is 2gb of ddr2 going to cut it? Or is that my problem. I have a stick of 1gb I can put in... I need help.... I don't know anything about freenas.... except for the fact it is a pain. I also am using freenas 9.3 James

Windows 7 struggles to run on this machine before you suggest it. Specs Single core 1.6ghz atom processor Intergrated gpu 160gb hdd Below 720p screen 2gb ram Model number of laptop is x-10 tp Made by novatech It has no dvd drive so OS must be on a USB drive. Dont care about security as it only needs to last till about January next year when I will upgrade. Thanks in advance. James. P.s. I don't mind... slightly shady ways of acquiring OS's if need be... Plz...plz don't put me in jail...

if I'm right, in Orical's VM software, you are able to pass through internet and pick what GPU you can use. I only have one GPU, so idk if that would work... but whatevs, it's worth a try.

What distro and VM software would you want to work with in an ideal world? Also what games do you want to play. I can say from experience that the R7 200 series aren't exactaly powerful.

Ok... so I am building a server out of an old desktop and I want to use freenas. I tried to install but it just spits our the error cddone get error 0x5 back. (Along those lines can't remember exactly phrasing( help plz?

1 problem... I can't find a hint at my laptops existence anywhere online. It's an x10-tp... I think. I have tried to access the hdd already but I think the back is glued on. Also the laptop has a single core 1.66ghz atom, 2gb or ram and I gpu. And it's 10 or 11inch (haven't used for ages since upgrading to desktop master race ?)
