The RM550 is perfectly fine. There's just a big fuss about it not using premium Japanese capacitors for being marketed at a high end psu.

I know I could have choose a AMD or Quadro card but according this this, I believe the raw performance surpasses the OpenCL/GL drawbacks on these cards. Also I do not own a 10-bit monitor so I can't utilize the 10-bit output either.

Thanks for suggesting a change in PSU, I thought it was pretty up there in terms of premium but I guess I was wrong.
So I think I'll settle with:
SeaSonic X Series X650 Gold

I'm willing to pay the extra premium for better reliability.
