Does the EKWB cooling configuration take into account ambient temps?

Also, I wouldn't put too much trust in EKWB's configurator as they're obviously going to sway it to make their products seem better. Load temps are what really matter. For idle, a difference of 5C doesn't make any difference.

thanks, (there was also no way I was gonna pay $25 for shipping and $10 tax for the EK rad)

  2. ekwb recommended the EK-CoolStream SE 240 (Slim Dual) radiator but i thought i could get a better one for the same price. on ek's cooling configurator it said the system would be 27c at idle while mine is 32c. i bought the alphacool nexXxos xt45 because it seemed better in every way because it had more fpi, and it was a full copper radiator. was i wrong, or is ekwb's estimate incorrect?

You have attached a screenshot of your Hard drives? The HP Recovery is the recovery partition to restore the system to fac. settings. The SYSTEM is a system partition, and your C: Drive and F: Drives are (should be) data partitions. What happens when you try and open a program?

  4. i made a custom loop, and i just hooked it up and ran heaven benchmark at extreme settings. i notices a buzzing sound like zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz coming from the gpu. i notice that there is a air bubble in the gpu waterblock but this is my first time watercooling so i dont know if that effects performance. i was getting around 76c on my 1070 i dont know if that is good or not but here are some pictures.Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 Basic (Direct3D11) 3_16_2017 10_12_10 AM.png

food coloring is probably the worst kind of dye to use in a loop, because well.. it's for food.. kinda implies that it is bio degradable.. which.. i guess you dont want your loop to slowly rot away :P

that said, the linus man himself, who is probably one of the most "oldschool" watercoolers on the forum, drops the bomb here and there that he just uses tap water, and if he says it's distilled water, it's tap water and he just says distilled to appease the distilled water folks.

Could I use all natural spring water?
