  1. Reed from Smart Home Solver channel seems to be using the Amazon Fire 10 plus + the Anker wireless charging dock. And I was trying to find the same setup to buy here in Canada but it doesn't seem to be available, I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know why? and how can I buy those in Canada? For reference, he shows it here:
  2. Freaking amazing answer, that's exactly the things I was wondering. You gave me a lot to look into, thank you
  3. Sorry probably I forgot to say, this is what I have today already, and I am looking into buying something to upgrade this build. The monitor in this case, the company I work on paid for and gifted to me, so that's all good. I will definitely look into a 3050!
  4. Bumping as I got no answer, any help would be appreciated here I guess the question I am looking for is. Motherboard, CPU or GPU, what would be a better upgrade for this?
  5. I will try this and return with my findings also, I am one of the minorities that got blessed with a properly working, no QC issues 9700!

  7. Hey there, Most of the posts here are looking for monitors with good refresh r / response time, I am looking for monitors with good contrast, I work as a developer and video/photo editing and most of the monitors I found that have a good black are because they have a low nit / low brightness. And to be fair I am a bit overwhelmed with every monitor out there claiming they have the best color profile and blablabla. My budget is around 500 / 600CAD (could go higher if really worth it) Any opinions on that?
  8. Just in case, I found the solution. https://www.amazon.ca/EZDIY-FAB-Internal-19-Pin-Header-Adapter/dp/B082X5HT94
  9. hey @Scugog did you find the answer to your question? I have the same case and same motherboard and looking for an answer to that hahaha.
  10. So the newly released XPS 17 With... CPU: i7-10875H GPU: GeForce RTX™ 2060 6GB GDDR6 with Max-Q RAM: 32GB DDR4 Storage: 1TB M.2 PCIe It is only $3,999.99 (CAD) + $519.87 on taxes (Ontario/Canada) = $4,518.87 Reference: https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/dell-laptops/new-xps-17-laptop/spd/xps-17-9700-laptop/nxps179700_s3e?view=configurations&configurationid=faa67622-39ac-4dd9-808e-1139b04804a2 Is there any alternative with a decent screen cheaper than that? I know about the G14 Zephyrus, but the screen is also not the best, plus all the issues that it has been going through and no official release date in Canada.
  11. The 2060 that the G14 uses is the Max-Q Design that has lower power consumption, because it has reduced clock speeds.\ Which means that the performance is lower than regular 2060 (dunno if even noticeable), but should be perfect when gaming at 1080p. Although, if a game uses Raytracing, for sure the framerate will be lower. I am eagerly waiting for the G14 (read, refreshing frantically the store pages hahah), but be aware that the G14 has some screen issues (Photo Editing will not be optimal). And the G15 which is cheaper, has a better screen for photo editing.
  12. Is there any comparison? what's the big difference for the G14 be better? @5x5
  13. I am looking into buying the G15 (I am in Canada/Ontario) but can't seem to find anywhere, do anyone know where can I find one? Also why is it sold out everywhere, is it really that good or just low stock? If I have to pay shipping from US that's not an issue either. I am looking into the 15.6” 240Hz FHD, GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS Thanks, also sorry if this is not an allowed question here
  14. Thanks, will definitely check it out!
