I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, but this spring, GitHub deployed its Arctic Code Vault, situated in a former coal mine on Svalbard (Norwegian arctic territory), near the global seed vault. The code vault stores every repository that was on GitHub at the time (2nd of Feb., 2020), printed on special physical media (which resembles QR and barcodes), which is supposed to last for 1,000 years. Any thoughts? I think it's exciting!
