  1. You can run, but you cannot hide from windows. You need it for one task or the other, there's no option, especially when it comes to gaming and using adobe softwares.
  2. i don't care about windows, all my personal data is gone anyway. My laptop is like a new one rn.
  3. I have a Dell Inspiron 7460. I'm planning to install Ubuntu alongside Windows 10. I had done a dual boot earlier but then I blew up my motherboard and hard disk so I have to do it again. My laptop went through a lot and these are the top 2 reasons how my hardware could have got damaged. 1. Survived a walk through light rainfall (laptop worked perfectly for a week, then my charger stopped working). 2. Was powered up by a 45W charger instead of 65W at high load (i bought a 45W replacement instead of 65W). Then the motherboard and hard disk blew up. But I have an even dumber question. Can dual boot cause hardware damage in any way?
  4. I don't play games on this laptop, i mostly use it for browsing and watching movies etc. This charger takes about 2 hours 10 minutes to fully charge the laptop. I think I can live with it. Thank you everyone.
  5. So the specs are as follows : I5 7200u 8 gb DDR4 single stick 1 tb 5400 rpm hard disk Nvidia 940 mx 2gb 42 Whr battery
  6. Do the specs even matter here? It's just about the charger and battery.
  7. It was charging the laptop in the store. I'll wait for a day and try it out if it doesn't work then I'll get it replaced.
  8. I have a Dell Inspiron 7460 laptop. It's original charger stopped working so I went to the dell store to buy a new one. The machine was shipped with a 65 W charger and has a 42Whr battery. The retailer gave me a 45 W charger and told me it will work just fine. I compared the output of both the chargers and there was a difference of approximately 1 amp. I think the new 45 W will take longer to charge my laptop. Am I wrong?
  9. How's 1080p g sync panel on Alienware 15? He's an Alienware fan boy and ready to shell out more cash for that machine.
  10. He lives in India but he will purchase the laptop from Us
  11. Battery life doesn't matter much and he is also not into that pro level video editing... I mean, the guy shoots with an eos 80d but he's gonna upgrade his camera too so i think Alienware should be a good option.
  12. My friend is looking for a nice and portable laptop for gaming and video editing. I personally don't know much about video editing so wanted to have a piece of advice from the pros. His budget is around $1300-1500. Macbook not preferred (if you are just recommending a laptop for editing).
  13. I think I registered for the accidental damage coverage. I'm doubtful because it isn't clearly stated on the app they made
