  1. Are you saying trying the gpu on a different system? I dont have another around to try it on. Are you aware of what the white lines are called so I can google it?
  2. I have been getting weird artifacting/white lines in electron apps like discord, visual studio code, slack. https://imgur.com/a/ckbEWXW This happens when I dont touch the program for a few seconds and it progressively gets worse I have tried three different gpus and I keep having this problem, I have even tried three different monitors with different dp cables. I tried wipe the drivers with ddu and reinstalling. Not sure if anyone knows what this is called so I can look around for some way to solve it.
  3. Reportedly 70% faster than a 1070 and 30% faster than a 1080. Not sure what that other dude is talking about with that 980ti nonsense. I think its worth getting it if you are using something like EVGA step up program if you already have a 1070 or 1080.
  4. Best option would be wait for the 1080ti but if you cant then of course the sli 1080 is better
  5. Get the 1070 if you can afford it, you might want to move up to a better class of monitor later on that can use it
  6. Yea just missing the 1070, or some vega card if AMDs new stuff is up to par. Thank you again for the help man, you helped a lot. is there anyway to give rep or anything on these forums? (Man i have to work in 5 hours lol cant believe i stayed up this late)
  7. Yea it was getting stuck, i tried removing then made sure to press them extra hard in just in case it wasn't all the way in when it appeared to be. Looks like that was the case. The second stick of ram was like 90% in but just needed another nudge I guess. This is actually a bit embarrassing I just became that guy lmao
  8. Here is the full build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VjXQwV But I have a i7 6700k, DRR4 @ 3000, I have the 24 pin and both the 4 pin connectors plugged in. I will try switching the fans and see if that helps. Here is a video of whats happening sorry for portrait edit: itss till happening after switch the fan wires
  9. I just checked, monitor goes from standby to active and then it powers off/back on before anyting can be shown. no bios or anything
  10. I have the h115i plugged into it. And I want to say thanks to you and the other person for the help and answering my annoying questions. My first build so im not surprised if I made mistakes
  11. I looked over it again and unplugged all other pins besides the pwr switch pins and i can cycle the power on and off via it now. I went step by step and it seems the power led wires were probably causing the issue, in the manual it says you can connect it to the yellow or purple area but I ran into issues using it in the yellow area. Still having the issue of the computer randomly powering off after about 10 seconds
