  1. Hello dear LTT-Community, I've recently bought a MSI RX 480 to replace my R9 280x from HiS. Ever since, I've encountered a problem with current monitor setup. Old setup was this: ASUS VE247H <- MiniDP-to-DVI-Adapter-Cable <- R9 280X -> DVI cable-> BenQ XL2411Z (Appearently on firmware v3) <- HDMI cable <- Xbox One (Boo-freakin-whoo) with this setup, I had problem with the Asus monitor. I would encounter artifacts in some pictures, the colors in general looked not as great as compared to the BenQ monitor, with the UFO test from the guys at Blur Busters it fail miserably. the new setup is basically the same. Replace the graphics card with an MSI RX480 and the MiniDP-to-DVI-Adapter-Cable with an HDMI cable and there we go. At first, after getting a new driver von the red team, nothing unsual happened. Once I turned on my xbox and switch the BenQ monitor from DVI to HDMI input.... well... the graphics card "lost" connection with the monitor. not only that, once I switched the monitor back to DVI, both of the monitor blinked for a second or two, the Asus monitor got back like nothing happened and the BenQ monitor either gave me something like a colorful snowstorm in my face or like yesterday, my regular desktop came back but without a background picture.... and that kind of killed my explorer.exe.... Oh and did I mention that the colors went to 'not as fine before' and the Asus monitor magically transmitted the artifacting disease to the BenQ monitor? yeah... I really like having artifacts in some pictures. viewing those pictures in a browser is totally fine, but oh hell no, dont eve think of using the regular windows picture viewer! do you want your eyes to get cancer? because that is how you get your eyes cancer. okay, enough with the rant already. I have no idea what the heck is wrong IF anything is wrong. everytime I switch from DVI input to HDMI input, it happens again. the card loses connection with the monitor. if I try to power off the monitor, it's literally like switch telling the card to run no power whatsoever through the DVI port and ONLY using the Asus monitor as the ONLY connected monitor. any advice of what you might think is wrong, I apprecciate it. if anything is unclear to you, just ask away. gonna try and explain as detailed as possible. thank you guys in advance best regards, Artur
  2. gibe nao pls Got a HiS R9 280X. While it does run games really well, I think a RX 480 will benefit me way more in every way. so yeah. GIBE NAO PLZ
  3. just as I thought. Thank you random person!
  4. Just as in the title: Can they be paired together? I dont think it would work, but I wanna have other peoples thoughts to know for sure. (If this was already asked once, sorry. I am too blind to find the search option.....)
  5. Push, i wanna have as much opinions as possible
  6. you two can argue all day long, but I stated to want an IPS panel. (Will add the following to first post) It does not need to big or have high refresh rates or that kinda that does not interest me. I just wanna get off that Asus VE247H that I am using right now, but still be an IPS panel because I've heared they make stuff look better in general. 1440p or 4k is a nice to have, but is not required. same thing goes for screen-size. 24'' or 27'' is not such of a big deal for me and while im gonna use that Asus-thing as a secondary driver anyways, so yeah, I guess you have somehow an idea where im going with this. Beside, I am thinking of an GPU upgrade anyways which will probably come arround next year.
  7. Thank you, will look at them Im open for other suggestions too
  8. Hey guys! So, im on a quest to buy myself a new Monitor! Im pretty new to this topic and i dont Know, which are good and which are Not. I wanna go for an IPS Display for about 300-400€ Im from Germany. Thank you in advance for your help Edited in, because I think it is information you might need: It does not need to be big or have high refresh rates or that kinda stuff that does not interest me. I just wanna get off this Asus VE247H I am using right now, but still be an IPS panel because I've heared they make stuff look prettier in general. 1440p or 4k is a nice to have, but not required. same thing goes for screen-size. 24'' or 27'' is not such of a big deal for me and while im gonna use that Asus-thing as a secondary driver anyways-- I guess you have somehow an idea where im going with this. 9. I know^^ that's why I tested them with both, onboard and Razer Surround. Ofc I set my onboards on 7.1 to match it to the headset but listening to music with surround is a pain the butt. Stereo all the way.
  10. My cousin has them and I personally dislike them. They feel really really good on the head, yes, but I hate the sound of them since Razer Surround is... well, it is not good. My Razer Kraken Pro sound better with my onboard soundcard than Razer Surround and those Tiamats sounded better with my onboard than Razer Surround too.... so yeah, no go for me. waste of money imo.
  11. Hey guys! So I wanna buy myself some new high-end headphones, because afaik headsets have usually lower quality audio-driver, if I am not using those Audio-Technica ATH-AG1. I moved from the Razer Kraken over to SteelSeries Elite, which was only great because the SSE3 is a bit more precise to sound than Razer Surround (at least that is my opinion), equalizing was not a problem and my music sounds pretty good. But that's it. It is just "good" and I am kinda bored of it. Ofc I love to listen to music with decent quality, but I remember Linus saying once something like using an equalize == faking the real quality of headphones/headsets or something among those lines. So yeah. The great FAQ in this forum does not help me so much because I am still new in the market of headphones so I dont exactly know all the decent to great headPHONES. I really hope you guys can help me finding good headphones at arround 200€ with which I wont really be needing to use an equalizer anymore. or at least not as heavy as I am using it now. If you feel like I made a mistake in anything I just said, feel free to point it out. As I said before, I am new to the headphones market so I am a noob and I can handle that. Best regards to all and thanks in advance! Have a great day Ryu
  12. This is world wide, right? Oh man, congratz on 1 million Linus Dang... I dont even know how I found you... I mean which video I saw first before I subbed your channel. But I know a friend of mine who was following you on twitter and youtube for way longer than I can remember what he said and he told me to look up stuff myself before building a new computer and he mentioned you as reference. well, from there the ball rolled on it's own and I am really really happy I got here. You helped me finding new parts and build a new PC, maintain and OC it a little even! Keep up the good work Linus and all others in Linus Media Group. You guys are awesome!
