  1. thanks, i know that support for Apple products is usually long lasting, but they can still decide to pull an ipad 1 vs 2 (4 more years with the 2nd gen i think)
  2. Hi, thinking about buying a base model 2018 ipad pro but don't know when the support for it will come to an end. And also if end of support means that the new apps won't work on it (seems like something Apple would do). Thank you
  3. I have a 4,1 ghz all core turbo as well, but why are the voltages and temps so high if you leave all the settings at stock?
  4. hi, I overclocked my 3900x to 4.0 GHz, only changed the ratio, left everything else at stock. Here is what happened. CB R15 score is the same (around 3110) CPU voltage dropped from 1.478 to 1.304 as well as CPU temp. that went from 45 to 37 C (as shown in BIOS). Otherwise, manually undervolting it results in performance penalty (2885 cb score). I am running the newer BIOS (AGESA 1.0.0.4) Why does it come to this and what to do? Thanks in advance.
  5. true, but we do have it for mobile for both of them. How do you think it will translate to desktop?
  6. With Intel 10 nm desktop CPUs reportedly arriving early next year (https://wccftech.com/intel-10nm-desktop-cpus-arriving-early-2020/), what is your take on how their performance will stack up against the latest and greatest from AMD? The SKUs will probably not be high-end/enthusiast yet, but still, how do you think the team blue's parts will perform against the same grade/similarly priced AMD counterparts? (Ice Lake mobile has about 18 % IPC improvement over the previous gen.) I think that as soon as intel has something to offer in all the importanat price brackets, they will retake the lead firmly. I'm inclined to that opinion because they already have the lead in gaming, clock speeds and some productivity instances. As soon as they figure out how to pack more cores on a chip efficiently, that will be it.
  7. Asus Prime X570 Pro | AMD R9 3900X | Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 32gb 3000MHz CL15 | Asus Strix GTX 1080 A8G | Samsung 970 Pro 1TB | WD Black 2TB | Corsair RM750x | Noctua NH-D15 All the components apart from the mobo and CPU have been working flawlessly on the previous system (Asus z170-a+6700k) for the past 3 years Also the RAM SKU is listed on the mobo QVL.
  8. HI, my Ryzen system has multiple crashes in a row (up to 7) after a restart prompted by installing a software or after making changes in Ryzen Master (SMT on/off, disabling CCD). And no overclocking whatsoever. It goes back to normal afteI let ic 'cool down' overnight. Coming from an Intel CPU (6700k), I was able to fool around there with disabling cores and HT without the system even flinching in over 3 years. Not a single crash unless caused by a virus (one time after dowloading an opening an infected -.exe). Otherwise, the experience is outstanding. 3ds max renders completed in 1/3 of the time, stable framrates during gaming... this thing FLIES. Just asking if anyone else has similar experience and what to do about it (wait for a BIOS update (agesa 1004), driver update, RMA...) thank you in advance
  9. My thinking excactly. the reason i'm asking is becuse I saw both Bitwit and Paul's hardware putting them down low in the builds. Both.
  10. Hi, I am running a single m.2 SSD on an asus x570 pro mobo (970 pro, os drive). I know that the upper socket gets the lanes from CPU directly and lower from the chipset, but the lower one has the heatsink. it says nowhere in the manual about which one to occupy first. thank you in advance.
  11. Agreed, but what's the deal with TM, what is it showing if not current speeds?
  12. Hello, just asking which program out of these two is showing more accurate clock speeds. The task manager figure NEVER goes below 3,77 GHz while Ryzen Master is showing very nice idling. Also, my DRAM is CL15-17-17-35 in BIOS and here it says 16 in RM. Thank you
