  1. is there any reason why you'd choose to upgrade your CPU instead of your graphics card? You'd see more benefit in gaming from upgrading that as opposed to getting a new CPU and RAM.
  2. I have a laptop with thunderbolt 3 so I was thinking of using an eGPU enclosure to improve gaming performance. Considering that it's only limited to 4 PCIE lanes, at what point does the graphics card become significantly bottlenecked by this? (assuming ideal conditions, no other bottlenecks and using a display connected to the graphics card). Thanks in advance
  3. 50 on the outside, 60-80 on the inside. Pants are too mainstream
  4. So I have an HP Omen laptop (15-CE097NX). I'm using it for medium use (few browser windows, spotify, some word processing, discord etc). The fans refuse to ramp up despite the laptop being about 50 degrees and slowly cooking my leg. Anyone got ideas on how to force the fans to ramp up?
  5. Not even close, I only about 20% of the space on my main SSDs on all computers, sounds stupid but, just a thing I do
  6. Ffs, "patch", time to rollback
  7. Yep, done that, even did the subfolders and stuff. Says files in use (obviously). Why'd it do that in the first place?
  8. Oh it's not just that, it's the whole OS drive, has the strange blue arrows pointing inwards
  9. So, windows has managed to compress all my files and now certain things (windows hello for example) have stopped working. Even tried fresh installing so, no clue why it's still doing this unwanted yet intended thing.
  10. Yeah but it liked that port for a whole year
  11. So recently my BenQ XL2730Z has had issues with turning black randomly, still being detected by windows and all, just showing a black screen. I was troubleshooting and all and then switched from one displayport connector on my card to another and it seems to have fixed the issue. Has this happened to anyone before?
  12. So... My main monitor won't work anymore (the second works fine). It's detected by windows and all, but all that's shown on screen is a black screen Main monitor: BenQ XL2730Z Second Monitor: Dell S1715H Graphics Card: Asus GTX 1080ti ROG Strix OC Driver: Whatever the latest one is
