  1. That genuinely is wierd... Were they connected through different connections (eg HDMI and DVI)?
  2. honestly size doesn't matter - it's resolution. It might have been the monitor itself that had a slower response time, probably not the card.
  3. I would say at least $600.. But that's my personal opinion as someone who doesn't build a lot of PCs Edit: scratch that on looking at the price of the graphics card (which is going for like £400) - at least $800
  4. Have you checked the Microphone properties? Things such as the levels and battery management could affect how the microphone performs.
  5. Yup, since USB C is so new, that solution would be very expensive, I'm personally not sure how to do it as I've never had to do this, but it's what you prefer really.
  6. Mine looks something like this: https://gyazo.com/b018afa531c4e15b0628820efce1c412 only because my computer does a lot of rendering/GPU intensive work, but if you're only gaming you should be able to get away with the fans not turning until around 50C
  7. Yeah, this seems fairly difficult. I guess you could buy 2 of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Cables/Extension-Cable-VANDESAIL-SuperSpeed-Female/B01H71YVKO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490120151&sr=8-1&keywords=20ft+usb+3.0+cable Then get a powered hub, to keep the power up, maybe it'll work?
  8. I'd make a custom fan curve, make it start ramping up when the temperature reaches around 50-55 because that's when it needs to start cooling down to prevent thermal throttling.
  9. When your contract gave you an non-google phone so you can't install the developer previews anymore ;(
  10. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Standard-Server-Rackmount-Chassis-5-25/dp/B00H3EVSPC/ref=sr_1_44?ie=UTF8&qid=1490119821&sr=8-44&keywords=server+case+3.5"+drives Would this do?
  11. Yeah, that's true, I can see why that could be an issue but I haven't had any yet, depends on the usage case really.
  12. I'd say WD Blue, I have one and it's lasted me very well! It doesn't have 128mb cache, but it's a great drive nonetheless.
  13. To be honest just clip it to ANY metal part of the case (when the power supply is in) and then plug the power supply in (don't turn it on), then the entire case should be grounded.
  14. If you go for a gtx 970 - I'm sure you'll see better results, the CPU seems fine and it is highly likely the GPU is the bottleneck in this situation, the GTX 660 just doesnt have enough power to run a 4k monitor, so a GTX 970/980 should do the trick for you!
  15. For CS:GO you really need a high-end CPU, my i3-4160 only manages ~150fps on ultra (with a GTX 970) - but the CPU is the bottleneck, and the same can be said for most source engine 2 games, as the engine is relatively reliant on the CPU, so if possible go for the best CPU you can (i3, i5 minimum).
