  1. Alright SO.. I own a Blue Yeti. I'm trying to figure out a way I can use the Yeti's built in voice monitoring when I'm in a call and at the same time listen to all my other applications (Person I'm in the call with, Games, Skype sounds, Music, Netflix, Etc.). I've tried using a virtual audio cable but it has about 50ms delay and it just messes me up and I start tripping over my words because I'm too busy listening to me say things late. If you've ever used one of these applications you'll know what I'm talking about, non-delayed voice monitoring is loads easier. I've also tried Audacity. I'm willing to purchase additional hardware to pull this off to a reasonable extent. I won't go out and buy a whole new mic set up, but I'd buy a Y-cable if it did the job, which I think it might. Just need other peoples insight. Thank you for whatever help you may give me!
  2. Alright, guys, here's the run down. I'm currently using an iPhone 4s and I'm due for an update this week. I use my phone mostly for music, texting, Tumblr, and taking pictures/videos. I don't really play games on my phone because usually my battery dies too quickly. I doubt that would change with a new phone because I'm more then happy playing games on my computer. I use most of the social apps like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and possibly Instagram. I plan on installing a new launcher and stuff so the UI out of the box doesn't really matter. I could care less about the build quality because I'm just going to get a plastic phone case anyways. Also, being able to expand the storage with MicroSD is a must. Any suggestions on what phone I should get? I know you're all into the M8 so if you could list reasons why a specific phone would be better than another, that'd be great. Thank you! Been looking at the Galaxy S4 & S5. TL;DR Upgrading from a 4s and I'm looking for a phone with: Expandable Storage Respectable camera Good/decent battery Don't care for: Build quality (Example: Galaxy S5 Plastic vs HTC One M8 Metal) Speaker quality or loudness Out of the box UI
  3. I have my default set to the HDD. But as I said, a lot of programs tend to ignore this. Take Winrar for example. I'll download it from it's respective website and direct the download to my Dowloads folder on my HDD. I'll install the software onto my HDD but for some reason I'll still find it's core files in my SSD's Program Files and Program Files (x84). This is what I'm talking about with the whole file managment stuff. It's like digging up roots to flowers you planted on the other side of the yard, but for some reason they keep getting moved.
  4. Alright so I just put together my new computer and I'm currently using my 250gb Samsung 840 EVO as a boot drive and a 1TB Seagate as storage. Managing files is a bitch when everything you download and it's mother is trying to get onto the SSD. I know there are some things you can do like change the locations of User folders and such, but wouldn't it be a whole lot simpler to just boot Windows from my HDD, use my SSD as a simple drag and drop for whatever program I want to preform at hyper speed, and just hibernate my computer when I'm not using it? I know you can assign where you want your files to be downloaded to, but sometimes different software that wouldn't benefit from an SSD don't even give you an option where to put it and just saves to wherever your Program Files (x86) is. I'd much rather put my computer on Hibernate or Sleep mode rather then micro manage every little file that doesn't want to give me an option to save it to another drive (Which is a lot of them). So tell me, guys, is it worth it?
  5. I still think I'm gonna go for the i5. The benchmarks I've seen of them two on different games I'm gonna be playing plus the fact that It'll do light years better in emulation than the 8350 just takes the cake for me. Also you didn't throw in a recommended MOBO in your parts list x)
  6. You make a good point. Looks really good for the price but a lot of those things I decided against getting. Like the CPU would only come in handy while using Photoshop and Adobe stuff, which I don't do as much as gaming. Most games I already wanna play don't need more then 4 cores.
  7. The build so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/27lmL What's the computer going to be for?Gaming (WoW, TES, Fallout, Minecraft with Heavy graphic mods, and other "next gen" titles like Titanfall.) Emulation (N64 all the way up to Wii.) A little bit of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Correl Draw. I want to use my monitor as a TV so I'm going to be getting a capture card sometime in the near future. I figured I should mention that? Budget?Trying to keep it below $2000. Hopfully Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals takes around $200-$300 off. Do you plan on getting headphones/speakers to go with that sound card?Headphones, yes. I'm gonna try and score some Closed Beyerdynamic 770s or maybe some Open Audio Technica's on BF/CM. Do you know how much you want to overclock?Well not really because I dont know too much about it, but I've been reading about overclocking with the 4670k and a lot of people usually suggest a decent Gigabyte MOBO and The Hyper 212 EVO or H100i. So I figure if I have the right tools to overclock, I can ease my way into it slowely without the risk of damaging components. Obviously I'm going to read more about OC'ing and I know Linus should have several videos about it. How are you today?I'm good, thank you Why did you choose the UD3H over the UD4H?Don't plan to OC too much and I didn't think I needed the extra firepower the UD4H was dishing out. Plus I save around $30. This might change come BF/CM. So is there anything you guys would suggest? Also, first time poster. Thank you!
