  1. Doesn't look bad. Meanwhile i found Movo GM-5. https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B0B5B5DZ2Y/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A3OJWAJQNSBARP&psc=1
  2. Budget, about 100€ or less. I have looked at similar microphones like the yeti nano, hyperx etc. Problem is that the stand is way to short, low. Sitting on the desk it is also too far from your face, so you have to crank the gain, and now it'll pick up keyboard and probably also the game you're playing. That's just going to be annoying for those you're playing with. I watched a bunch of reviews, and this appear to be very general for cardioid microphones. For reference: The kind i'm looking for is higher off the desk, closer to face, and more directed. But i also don't want it to sound like crap. What brand and model is that? I will look into that one. I prefer usb as i do not have any xlr equipment. Boom is just an eye soar. Would prefer to avoid it.
  3. I am looking for microphone, one that can be used for voip while gaming. I game without a headset, i wear glasses and that appears to be a major issue. I presently have a pair from Turtlebeach, which have glasses support, but it still becomes really uncomfortable after about an hour. So i have looked into microphones that could just stand on the desk. But most appear to be designed for a boom, which i don't want. I have found this, Delock 65871. Anyone have experience with these types of mics?
  4. Have a storage spaces pool. Pool has interleave size of 64kb, and allocation unit size of 128kb. I am unsure how to set the interleave size for a single disc, which will be added to the pool. Just named the new drive "new", then I tried New-VirtualDisk -StoragePoolFriendlyName "Lagerpulje" -FriendlyName "new" -Interleave 64KB -NumberOfColumns 1 -UseMaximumSize But it did not work.
  5. I see what you mean. I didn't hear it as envious, but more as grateful of the assistance Linus could/has provided. And as a statement of fact, that Linus does in fact has these things available to him.
  6. I think you're incorrect. I think GN is doing just fine financially. I think Steve is well aware that his more technical videos attracts a smaller audience. I don't think Steve cares, as long as he gets to do what he thinks is interesting in the way he wants to do it. At least that's the vibe i'm getting. Having watched both channels for years, LTT caters to a younger, much younger audience, i skip quite a few of his videos as they're too childish for me. GN caters to a more technical, mature audience, and some of the in-depth PSU videos can put me to sleep, so i typically skip those. When Linus talked about how he would be unbiased in laptop reviews, i believed him. But i also understand why GN raises that as a concern, as that is a valid point. I still think Linus is capable of doing the laptop reviews, but the concern is valid regardless.
  7. 44 min later. And i have to say that Steve made an excellent video. I mean, he is pretty spot on. Notice even how Luke during the wan show said, that maybe they should've just tested the thing on the thing it was designed for. And when going through the errors i noticed, how i myself even disregarded some of the obvious stuff. Like the gpu cooler being tested on the wrong product. I watched that video and didn't pay it much attention. While retrospectively, that should've been a red flag for me.
  8. It appears, that when chrome also pops up a message in the upper right corner either about logging in, or it chrome doesn't feel like it was properly closed, in kiosk mode it's hiding this message so you can't see it or interact with it. That also prevents the tab from loading. And i looking into disabling auto updates, but i don't think you can do that in chrome.
  9. I suppose, but it would be better if i could just stop the browser from opening new tabs just because it updated.
  10. Have a few machines running that are running chrome in kiosk mode. Sometimes chrome will open a new tab after an update, i want to prevent this as i now have to remote into the machine to close the tab, meanwhile the machines aren't functional.
  11. It's a homebuild NAS kinda machine, the families central media hub i suppose. It's a 2400G with 16gb ram, I have 1 ssd for OS, Then 4x 2TB hdd for storage, and 2x250gb ssd as cache for the hdd. Because the hdd just dies instantly if the ssd's aren't there. It does file hosting, media hosting, streaming, conversion, transcoding, basically a bunch of on demand stuff. Which is why a read cache doesn't really work as many files aren't repeat access, and it'd need to be very big. Most work fine as is, the performance only tanks during smaller reads which there's also a bunch of. And that's why i'm thinking about replacing the current 6 drives, with 5/6x 2TB ssd drives. The reason i was interested in raid5 was because i was hoping i could expand without loosing data. If that is not the case i think i'll settle for a 5x ssd raid0, that should sort any performance issues i've had. Yes i lose data if a drive dies, but that is manageable. Besides that i'm also thinking about upgrading to a 5300G if i can get my hands on one.
  12. It's a double raid0 as you mention. I manage the array through windows, both raid0 are entirely windows run, this has worked fine for years. The hdd raid0 limit is they are not handling lots of 4k random read very well. So i am thinking about switching for only ssd. And was thinking raid5.
  13. While i am reading online that you shouldn't use raid 5, it however appears to be suitable for my use case. Sacrificing 1 drive for a bit of redundancy is about as much as i'd want to sacrifice. Running 2x raid0 where one is a ssd cache drive for the other raid0, data isn't important, speed is. If i replace the 6 drives for 5x ssd, i won't need the cache drive any more. But can i expand the storage capacity later on without doing anything else than install the drive, and add it to the pool, without losing any data?
  14. Our county is using microsoft office 365 solution. Using onedrive would then be fairly simple. Setting up directories for each person and share access to that person. Doing the whole encryption thing is probably a bit overboard. Video files aren't going to be stored or transported through any physical media. They'll be deleted within a few months. As that appears to be the best solution thus far, i thing we'll be going with that.
