Oh i read something that said they put malware in nvidia driver downloads or something, but if i misunderstood then i'll just update my drivers thank you
-
I've been running into some issues with my gpu, i haven't updated my drivers in a few months after the Nvidia hack and want to update them to see if it fixes my issues, i was wondering if it is now safe to update drivers again or not, i normaly do it though geforce experience if that makes any diffrence

the lable on the side says "power station 850w v2" and its modular psu if that changes anything, i've been thinking about changing it for a while to maybe a corsair one as i've been using this psu for 5-6 years now but was waiting untill i could get a gpu -

it is a 850w bronze psu from the pc building company i brought it from so apart from that i don't know, but i'm planning on changing to maybe a corsair one when i can -

rawrturkey replied to rawrturkey's topic in Power Supplies
ahh okay thank you, aslong as i don't need to worry about it -
I just cleaned my computer out and plugged it into the wall and flicked the wall power before the psu power, when i flicked the switch on the back of the psu there was a small pop sound but there was NO smoke or burning smell asfar as i can tell, the computer has been running for an hour idle and it seems everything is working i can feel air moving behind the psu, should i be worried about the popping sound or could it just be a relay or where i turnt on the wall power before the psu switch? (sorry if this should be in trouble shooting instead of power supplies)

How long should i wait before cleaning?
rawrturkey replied to rawrturkey's topic in General Discussion
It doesn't do it often maybe 1-3 times a week at random times i do need a whole new system but i have to wait for that so i'm trying to rule out it being dusty and over heating -
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this but recently my pc has been turning its self off and i think its in need of a clean as its been a while, I was wondering how long should i wait after powering off the system before i start taking components out to clean everything? or is turning it off and holding the power button good enough to start working on it? also when i use my electric air blower on the fans should i hold them so they don't spin like crazy?

that got the hdmi working thank you i'm guessing the intergrated graphics drivers never got an update because when we went to install them it said something about the computer manufactuer
-
its in the device manager and when we go to update drivers it says all up to date, so i have no idea what is happening with it unless the port is just dead
-
ye its all enabled now but still getting no signal and i cannot find any driver updates or anything for the cpu so i guess we're out of luck and will have ot get a hdmi - display port adaptor and use that on the monitor and the vive in the hdmi port
-
That is what we've just done it was hidden in the ugly bios but its enabled now and still won't work just no signal still
