  1. Im using a Phanteks P400A with a MSI 5700XT Gaming X fits no problem and is on the large side. Although if you were to use the additional 3.5 drive bays which im guessing 90% of people wont it blocks one or two of them. I can supply a pic if interested or Pcpartpicker has plenty.
  2. As title looking for recomendations for a new mouse, im coming from a Logitech M305 which is still working just looking for an upgrade. The M65 elite is one i have been looking at but is the £20 premium worth it over the pro version? Or any other recommendations from what you are using?
  3. Thanks for the suggestion, although 32" is to big for me 27" is going to be the biggest with the space i have. Also its going to be the only monitor i have as i havent bought it yet, the BenQ was the monitor i was looking at pairing with the 5700xt
  4. As title really just put my order in for my pc parts minus the GPU or monitor. Im looking at a 5700xt and pairing it with a BenQGW2765HT, I appreciate its not the latest and greatest monitor, i have a max spend of £300 for the monitor. At present i play mainly sim type games cities skylines, planet coaster etc but will add the odd triple A once im up and running Unsure if i should go for 60hz/144hz monitor although options are limited at the lower price point.
  5. Not sure of your location but they are available on the UK overclockers website for £17.99 in white or black. They do state they are not a 100% correct fit as shown in the pictures on the following link https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phanteks-eclipse-p400a-metal-mesh-front-panel-black-ca-09t-pt.html
  6. Hi, As title really I'm looking to build a PC with above card and 27' monitor and R5 3600. A new 1660TI can be had for £280 in UK not really interested in used. I play mainly sims like FS17, Cities skylines, Planet coaster, Factorio, Transport fever etc, I don't really play AAA titles Going off videos from hardware unboxed & techdeals it looks as if 60fps will be possible although they do not test with above games and test with mainly later titles Interested if anyone has above card and plays similar games what fps are you getting? Thanks
  7. Yes it was the 8gb i was looking at. I have considered the 2060 although they are generally £50 more than i wanted to spend They all seem pretty much about the same with each other when looking at benchmarks but the games i play are never tested ha.
  8. As title really looking to game at 1440p 60hz but cant find what is the best gpu. Not looking to play latest AAA titles well maybe apart from latest resident evil if it comes free with the gpu. I play mainly factorio, cities skylines, transport fever, 2 point hospital, planet coaster etc. Will probably be using it with a 2600/2600x Undecided between RX580/590 1660TI, 1060, or even vega 56 while its on offer with 3 free games. Looking to spend up to max £300 on gpu. I don't want to buy a used one.
  9. Hi guys, Im still debating my pc build and have not pulled the trigger on ordering parts yet as im constantly in a debate with myself over what parts/cost etc. Anyway im interested in a £1000ish build maybe a bit more as prices have increased a bit recently. I am currently playing sim games @ 1600/900 on a 2011 laptop with a 555M and getting around 20 - 30FPS obviously depending on game settings. Im looking at 1080p with a 1060 6GB but im interested in what real world performance increase i would be seeing I can imagine real world the difference is night and day but interested on what others have experienced. Thanks.
  10. Coffee for me, i dont dislike tea ill have the odd cup on a rare occasion but im a regular coffee drinker.
  11. @Franpadi I like the look of a liquid cooler , Good to hear you can run it perfectly, Im on a 5 year old 17" laptop at the minute so its not ideal although its not the worst laptop to be fair.
  12. @bob51zhangIs there much of a difference in performance between 1060 & 170 as there is about £100 price difference between cards? @TheProfessionalAmateursI had 4 ram sticks as i have read that cities skylines is pretty ram intensive? Also OCD id like all 4 ram slots occupied ha @FranpadiWould the 1070 benefit mainly sim games as i wouldent really be pushing for AAA titles, Also would like to get into the world of overclocking and for the sake of £20 extra for the 6600k Thanks for the input. Makes me feel better my first planned build wasnt a total fail
  13. Hi guys, Been a long time lurker but have decided to join & gain some advice before commiting to a build. Im looking for a build to run mainly games like cities skylines, farm sim etc. Also some very light video editing. Im looking at pairing this to a 144hz 1080p monitor particularly this monitor ASUS VG248QE with maybe dual monitors at some point in the future. I have put together the following build for you to look at. Also would like this to last a few years and would like to stick to a intel cpu and nvidia gpu although im open to amd gpu's. Budjet is around £1000 not including monitor etc. PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/dMKDjc Price breakdown by merchant: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/dMKDjc/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£209.72 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler (£39.99 @ Ebuyer) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£146.99 @ Novatech) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory (£41.31 @ Amazon UK) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory (£41.31 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£133.08 @ Aria PC) Storage: Western Digital Blue 2TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (£62.96 @ BT Shop) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (£194.28 @ Aria PC) Case: Corsair SPEC-ALPHA ATX Mid Tower Case (£67.14 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£70.97 @ Amazon UK) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit Total: £1007.75 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-10-01 02:04 BST+0100
